As Bangalore continues to grow, this role will take local ownership of Workplace Operations and Talent, while partnering closely with our Finance teams to ensure the office is set up to operate effectively and scale successfully.\n\nYou'll own Workplace Operations in India, support hiring for the Bangalore office and help with the day-to-day Finance activities that keep the office running smoothly. As we grow, we're committed to holding on to the things that matter: giving people the autonomy to make decisions, encouraging new ideas and continuously improving how we work.\nIf you like variety, enjoy making things better and would rather solve a problem than wait for someone else to pick it up, you'll fit in well here\nWhat You'll Be Working On\nYou'll be responsible for the day-to-day operational side of our People function in India.\nThis includes:\nRunning our Bangalore workplace, taking ownership of the office, suppliers, facilities, services and events and making sure it's a great environment to work in.\nSupporting our Bangalore hiring, working with hiring managers and our global Talent team, as well as helping us build relationships with universities and local talent communities.\nActing as a local point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day queries and connecting with the People Success team proactively to support their needs.\nSupporting People Operations in India across activities such as onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, benefits and local compliance.\nBuilding and improving how we work, spotting gaps and creating simple, scalable processes as the Bangalore team grows.\nBeing our local operations expert, helping our global teams navigate Indian employment practices and coordinating with local partners where needed.\nSupporting any local requirements on behalf of the London team with our local accountants and advisors\".\nWhat You'll Bring To The Team\nWe're looking for someone who has already done a similar role in a growing technology company.\nIdeally, you've been one of the first People or Operations hires or have worked in a small team where you've had a broad remit across People Operations, Talent and Workplace. You're comfortable switching between hiring, improving processes and solving the practical challenges that come with running a growing office.\nYou have experience with:\nRunning People Operations for an office or business unit, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, benefits and compliance.\nHiring for technical roles and partnering with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.\nManaging workplace operations, including suppliers, office services and creating a positive working environment for employees.\nApplying Indian employment legislation and supporting local statutory People processes.\nSupporting operational Finance activities such as invoices, expenses, suppliers and accounting administration.\nBuilding and improving processes in a startup or scale-up where you've had broad responsibilities and plenty of ownership.\nYou are able to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
