Given the lean nature of the team, you will have significant autonomy, wide exposure across the business, and the opportunity to lead, influence, and shape our risk capability as we scale.\nLead and provide expert advice & counsel on complex enterprise and operational risk-related matters across the business.\n\nPartner with senior stakeholders across key functions to identify, evaluate, challenge, and manage key risks and controls.\n\nBuild strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation to drive strategic risk initiatives, build risk maturity, and foster a strong risk culture.\n\nTake end-to-end ownership of core elements of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, including KRIs, RCSAs, Operational Risk Event Management, and risk committee management.\n\nDrive continuous improvement and scalability of our Risk Governance tools (GRC software) and framework processes.\n\nOversee, prepare, and present high-quality, impactful risk reporting for relevant Executive committees and Board documentation.\n\nProvide guidance, coaching, and direction to team members (including Risk Analysts/Senior Analysts) to support their development and drive team outcomes.\n\nTrack and challenge risk actions, ensuring business owners have appropriate\n\nguidance to resolve root causes within agreed target dates.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nWe value deep expertise, but a growth mindset and good energy are what really make our team click. We’re a group that chooses to lift each other up and think smart every day.\nProven, deep experience in Enterprise or Operational Risk Management within financial services, risk consultancies, or Big 4 environments.\n\nTypically 5+ years of relevant work experience in Enterprise or Operational Risk Management, with demonstrated progression into managerial or senior advisory responsibilities.\n\nStrong strategic acumen, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear business impacts.\n\nExceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills-capable of influencing and constructively challenging senior management.\n\nCuriosity, good judgement, ability to break down problems and imagine solutions.\n\nEnthusiasm about AI and its potential to support the role.\n\nHands-on expertise with Enterprise/Operational Risk Management tools (GRC software), alongside high proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead initiatives, own outcomes, and mentor or manage team members effectively.\n\nAble to take ownership of redesigning departmental workflows, using AI to automate complex tasks and drive operational efficiency\n\nCompetently able to Identify high-impact AI use cases and implement advanced prompting techniques to solve multi-layered business challenges\n\nSkills we’d love to see:\nExperience in SME lending, fintech, or fast-paced digital lending environments is highly desirable\n\nWe’re building a place where everyone truly feels they belong.
