Leading a small team, you will spend the majority of your time architecting, implementing, and maintaining our cloud platform-from CI/CD pipelines to security hardening to cost optimization. This is a technically-focused role where you’ll have significant autonomy and direct impact on our systems’ reliability and performance in a regulated fintech environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure & Cloud Architecture\nDesign, implement, and maintain high-performance, secure, and highly-available (HA) infrastructure on AWS\nBuild and manage AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) to ensure reproducible, version-controlled, and audit-ready environments\nAct as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for networking, VPCs, security groups, load balancers, and inter-service communication patterns\nManage CDN, DNS, and secure network access using Cloudflare, WARP, and Tailscale\nArchitect and implement Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solutions including failover strategies\nEvaluate and recommend technology stacks, tools, and approaches for infrastructure improvements\nOptimize AWS costs through right-sizing, reserved instances, and resource lifecycle management\nCI/CD & Automation\nOwn and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines, ensuring reliable build, test, and deployment workflows\nDevelop automation scripts and tools (Bash, Python, Node.js) to streamline operations and eliminate manual processes\nImplement and maintain container orchestration using Docker, ECS, Portainer, and Coolify\nDrive “zero-touch” deployment philosophy-automated testing, security scanning, and rollback mechanisms\nLeverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate infrastructure development and troubleshooting\nSecurity & Compliance\nOversee Cybersecurity of the company\nEnforce security policies including secrets management, IAM best practices, encryption at rest and in transit\nManage backup strategies and conduct regular disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity\nMaintain compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to financial services and digital assets\nConfigure and maintain alerting and monitoring for security monitoring and incident response\nImplement “shift-left” security by integrating automated security scanning into CI/CD pipelines\nDatabase & Systems Administration\nManage and optimize RDS database performance, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and connection pooling\nPerform OS-level administration, security patching, and system hardening across EC2 instances and container hosts\nImplement and maintain caching layers for application performance optimization\nMonitoring, Observability & Reliability\nDesign and maintain comprehensive monitoring stack using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools\nDefine and enforce SLAs/SLOs, designing processes to maintain maximum uptime for institutional clients\nImplement alerting strategies and on-call procedures for rapid incident response\nConduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures\nCollaboration & Team Coordination\nLead and coordinate a small DevOps team, providing technical direction and code reviews\nWork closely with development teams to develop CI/CD pipeline and improve deployment workflows\nMaintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and architectural decision records (ADRs)\nTroubleshoot and support deployment during production changes.\nTroubleshoot and support production issues during incidents\nRequirements & Qualifications\nRequired\nExperience: 8+ years in DevOps roles\nAWS Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, S3, and ALB/NLB\nInfrastructure as Code: Production experience with Terraform or CloudFormation;
