By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.\nWe’re hiring an Infrastructure Development Lead to find, win and take new energy projects from first opportunity through to construction readiness. You’ll sit in our Development team and report to our Head of Projects, owning the work across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop, carport and ground-mounted solar.\nResponsibilities\nOwn Renewable Energy and Data Centre development in Europe end-to-end: from market entry strategy and early-stage opportunity through Ready-to-Build and energisation\nEvaluate and prioritise your country’s market (Spain) based on power availability and price, grid connection timelines, land, fibre connectivity, climate, permitting regimes, and incentives\nIdentify and assess new opportunities (data centres, wind, BESS, rooftop, carport, ground-mounted, floating, and hybrid solar) from technical, planning, power, and infrastructure perspectives, using cartographic studies and data analysis\nSource and secure late-stage and Ready-to-Build projects through proactive M&A, and lead commercial negotiations (NDAs, NBOs, LOIs, exclusivity, and acquisition terms) through to completion\nBuild and maintain a strong local network of landowners, developers, IPPs, utilities, advisors, local authorities, regional administrations, and industrial clients, and develop new prospecting methods to find opportunities others miss\nStructure PPAs with commercial and industrial clients and respond to tenders\nSecure land and lease agreements for selected sites\nStructure and support development financing: capital planning, project finance, and working with investors and lenders to fund development through delivery\nLead planning, permitting, environmental assessment, feasibility studies, and stakeholder engagement processes in each jurisdiction, coordinating consultants, legal advisors, grid operators, and local authorities to secure timely approvals\nRun due diligence with internal teams to support investment decisions, and maintain a live pipeline aligned with company growth strategy\nManage pre-construction, including risk assessment, procurement tenders, and EPC contract negotiation support\nMitigate technical, commercial, and development risks\nEnsure projects are deliverable, scalable, and aligned with construction requirements\nRequirements\nExperience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Europe, taken from early-stage development through design, permitting, and delivery readiness\nDeep knowledge of key European geographies and why they matter: grid capacity, permitting dynamics, power markets, and where new capacity can realistically be delivered at speed\nStrong understanding of European planning and grid connection processes, including working with TSOs, DSOs, and national regulators\nStrong technical understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and utility systems, with the ability to evaluate engineering decisions and challenge technical assumptions\nUnderstanding of development financing for infrastructure projects, including project finance structures and investor requirements\nCommercial and transactional experience, including negotiating acquisition terms and structuring PPAs\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills across all stakeholder types, from landowners and local authorities to investors and lenders\nHighly analytical, self-directed, and comfortable with significant ownership, with the ability to run multiple projects at once\nWillingness to travel across Europe;
