We are committed for the long term to win.\nAbout the Role\nWe're looking for a Facility Security Officer / Insider Threat Program Senior Official (FSO/ITPSO) to own and stand up our facility security program from the ground up, guiding us through FCL sponsorship, FOCI mitigation, and the ongoing personnel and insider threat security requirements that come with holding a cleared facility. Go the extra mile because you care.\n\nAct with urgency - every hour matters more than it feels like it does.\n\nBe responsible for the outcome, not just the task; if it is not working, it remains your problem until it is fixed.\n\nAssume good intent - disagree openly, then commit fully once a call is made.\n\nCore Responsibilities\nServe as the company's designated Facility Security Officer (FSO), fulfilling all NISPOM-required FSO duties.\n\nGuide the organization through FCL sponsorship, including required documentation, forms (e.g., SF-328, DD Form 441), and coordination with the sponsoring agency and DCSA.\n\nSupport and help execute the FOCI mitigation process (e.g., Security Control Agreement, Affiliated Operations Plan, or similar mitigation instrument) in coordination with company leadership and outside counsel.\n\nStand up and serve as Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), building the insider threat program required under NISPOM.\n\nManage personnel security clearance processing for employees requiring access - initiating, tracking, and maintaining clearance investigations and periodic reinvestigations.\n\nDevelop and maintain facility security policies, procedures, and training required for NISPOM compliance.\n\nConduct security education and awareness training for cleared and uncleared personnel.\n\nCoordinate with the Head of Security and the IT Administrator/CMMC GRC function to align facility security requirements with the broader CMMC/NIST SP 800-171 compliance program.\n\nMaintain required records, self-inspections, and reporting to DCSA and other government stakeholders.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nPrior experience serving as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), including hands-on experience obtaining or standing up a new Facility Clearance (FCL).\n\nWorking knowledge of NISPOM requirements for FSO and Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) roles.\n\nExperience managing personnel security clearance processes (initiating investigations, eApp (formerly e-QIP), adjudication coordination).\n\nMust be a U.S. citizen, consistent with FSO/ITPSO eligibility requirements.\n\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance at the level required to perform FSO duties.\n\nStrong program-building skills - comfortable creating policies, processes, and training from scratch rather than maintaining an already-mature program.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nDirect, hands-on experience obtaining an FCL for a company that did not previously hold one.\n\nExperience standing up a facility security program and insider threat program from initial sponsorship through DCSA approval.\n\nExperience supporting or leading a FOCI mitigation action (SCA, AOP, Voting Trust Agreement, or similar).\n\nCompletion of the CDSE FSO Program Management Curriculum for Possessing Facilities; ISOC or ISP certification a plus.\n\nExperience working in a subsidiary or multi-entity corporate structure with a foreign-influenced or otherwise FOCI-relevant parent.\n\nFamiliarity with CMMC Level 2 / NIST SP 800-171 requirements as they intersect with personnel and facility security.\n\nAdditional Requirements\nMust be a U.S. citizen and eligible to hold a personnel security clearance.\n\nWillingness to undergo a background investigation as part of the clearance process.\n\nAbility to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM.\n\nAvailability to support FCL sponsorship and FOCI mitigation activities on an expedited timeline, given that the FCL sponsorship request has already been submitted and FOCI mitigation (SCA/AOP) work is expected to begin within 30-45 days.\n\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage.\n\nRelocation assistance for roles that require it.\n\nFlexible time off.
