We are committed for the long term to win.\nAbout the Role\nYou'll own the day-to-day technology experience for every employee, from the laptop that shows up on someone's first day to the SaaS tools they use every hour. You'll work closely with our Security Engineer, who sets policy and standards; you'll be the one who implements, enforces, and supports them day to day. Go the extra mile because you care.\n\nAct with urgency - every hour matters more than it feels like it does.\n\nBe responsible for the outcome, not just the task; if it is not working, it remains your problem until it is fixed.\n\nAssume good intent - disagree openly, then commit fully once a call is made.\n\nCore Responsibilities\nProvision and deprovision accounts across IdP and various SaaS platforms for onboarding/offboarding.\n\nConfigure and ship laptops/desktops to new hires; run new-hire IT orientation.\n\nAdminister macOS and Windows MDM providers → enrollment, patching, compliance policies, app deployment.\n\nAdminister IdP (SSO, groups, app assignments), collaboration platforms, licensing, etc.\n\nServe as primary point of contact for day-to-day IT issues; triage and resolve tier 1/2 helpdesk requests, escalating as needed.\n\nMaintain and troubleshoot network gear (Wi-Fi, switches, basic firewall/VLAN configuration).\n\nImplement and enforce endpoint compliance and access policies defined jointly with the Security Engineer (e.g., MDM baselines, conditional access, MFA enrollment).\n\nMaintain IT documentation, SOPs, and asset inventory.\n\nManage hardware/software procurement, license renewals, and vendor relationships for the IT toolset.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n2+ years in an IT Administrator, IT Support, or Systems Administrator role.\n\nHands-on experience with an MDM tool (Kandji, Intune, Jamf, or similar).\n\nWorking knowledge of an SSO/IdP platform (Okta or similar) - user/group management, app integrations, basic policy configuration.\n\nExperience administering Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Entra ID.\n\nComfortable supporting both macOS and Windows environments.\n\nBasic networking knowledge - VLANs, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, DHCP/DNS fundamentals.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for supporting non-technical employees.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience standing up or scaling IT processes at a company growing from ~50 to ~150+ employees.\n\nDirect experience with Ubiquiti/UniFi network equipment.\n\nExposure to security fundamentals (MFA, conditional access, endpoint compliance) with interest in growing into security-adjacent work.\n\nScripting ability (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate provisioning, deprovisioning, or reporting.\n\nExperience supporting engineering-heavy environments (e.g., CAD workstations, lab or hardware equipment) alongside standard corporate IT.\n\nExperience building internal documentation that's actually used, not just written once and abandoned.\n\nAdditional Requirements\nAvailability to provide occasional support outside standard business hours for urgent issues (e.g., account lockouts, outages).\n\nComfortable being the sole day-to-day IT resource, with escalation support from the Security Engineer for security-specific issues.\n\nBased in or willing to work from our San Leandro, CA office for hands-on device provisioning and hardware support.\n\nOccasional travel to other Fuse locations.\n\nAbility to lift/set up computer hardware (laptops, monitors, desktop towers) as part of onboarding and desk setups.\n\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage.\n\nRelocation assistance for roles that require it.\n\nFlexible time off.
