You’ll support Project Managers on deployments, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades, joining calls as the technical resource while the PM leads the client conversation. This is a hands-on, fully remote role for a seasoned infrastructure professional capable of owning the technical design and execution of server, network, and cloud migration projects with minimal oversight.\nWhat You Will Do\nProject Implementation & Technical Execution\nLead deployments and configurations for Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016 environments.\nDesign, set up, and manage Hyper-V hosts and virtualization infrastructure, including VMware ESXi/vSphere environments.\nArchitect and deploy networking equipment: switches, access points, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching environments.\nDeploy and troubleshoot SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco, or Meraki firewalls.\nManage core network infrastructure and advanced routing/switching configurations.\nCloud, Security & Backup\nLead Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure (Entra ID, Azure AD, Azure VMs, Azure networking) deployments and migrations.\nPlan and execute cloud migrations. Primarily to Azure, but with strong working knowledge of AWS environments\nConfigure SharePoint (on-premise and online) and modern collaboration platforms.\nImplement and troubleshoot BCDR, Veeam, and Barracuda backup solutions.\nSupport SaaS backup configurations and disaster recovery tasks.\nProject Support\nJoin project calls as the senior technical asset - providing expertise, scoping technical approach, answering complex technical questions, and guiding implementation steps while the Project Manager leads the meeting and client communication.\nCollaborate with Project Managers, Sales, and technical teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.\nMentor junior technicians and provide technical quality assurance on project work.\nDocument all configurations, procedures, and client environments in the documentation platform.\nRequirements\nExperience & Qualifications\n5-8+ years of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or senior systems administration experience.\nProven track record leading or executing server, network, and cloud migration projects end-to-end.\nExperience working in a multi-client environment - managing diverse technology stacks, priorities, and service expectations across different organizations (MSP experience strongly preferred).\nRelevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or equivalent.\nTechnical Skills\nExpert-level knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS.\nExpert-level knowledge of Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016 administration.\nAdvanced, hands-on experience with Hyper-V virtualization and server administration.\nStrong working experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere and other virtualization environments.\nStrong knowledge of networking: routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/WAN, and SD-WAN concepts.\nExperience configuring and deploying firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco, or Meraki).\nStrong, hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure cloud services.\nDemonstrated experience planning and executing on-premise to cloud migrations (Azure required; AWS familiarity important).\nExperience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Barracuda, or similar BCDR platforms).\nWorking knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, networking, IAM) sufficient to support hybrid and multi-cloud projects.\nScripting/automation familiarity (PowerShell required; Azure CLI or similar a plus).\nProfessional & Soft Skills\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent project tasks and priorities.\nAbility to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision\nClear written and verbal communication for documentation, client-facing technical discussions, and internal collaboration.\nOwnership mindset: you take responsibility for technical deliverables from design through completion\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, multi-vendor environments.s\nBonus points for: VOIP and Microsoft Teams experience; Autotask PSA familiarity; SharePoint administration; containerization or infrastructure-as-code.\nBenefits\nAt FusionTek, we truly believe our people are our most valuable asset.
