The role will work closely with the in-house legal team on investment documentation, transaction execution, governance matters, legal records and other day-to-day legal matters.\nThis opportunity is well suited for an organized, detail-oriented legal professional interested in developing broader experience supporting an in-house investments legal function while taking increasing ownership of legal processes and documentation.\nTHE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS EXPECTED TO:\nInvestment & Transaction Support\nAssist with non-disclosure agreements, subscription documents, related forms and supporting documentation.\nCoordinate preparation and execution of legal documents, including preparing signature pages and working with appropriate parties to facilitate signing.\nPrepare Investment Committee resolutions and other routine legal documentation using established templates.\nObtain and organize investment and legal documentation from third-party platforms and data sites.\nSupport the Investments Legal Team on investment-related matters and special projects as assigned.\nLegal Operations & Document Management\nManage the team's legal inbox, including monitoring incoming requests, directing matters to the appropriate team members and maintaining related documentation.\nMaintain internal legal trackers and assist in monitoring the status of outstanding matters and documentation.\nOrganize, save and maintain legal documents and records in accordance with established processes.\nCoordinate the distribution, mailing and retention of original documents when required.\nProvide general administrative and document support to the Investments Legal Team, including scanning, printing and filing as needed.\nQUALIFICATIONS: \nBachelor's degree required.\nAt least two years of professional experience, preferably within a law firm, in-house legal department, investment management firm or other professional services environment.\nHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple matters, competing priorities and deadlines.\nStrong initiative and ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys and stakeholders.\nAbility to exercise discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat, with the ability to quickly learn systems such as DealCloud, Burgiss and document management platforms.\nAbility to accommodate time-sensitive matters and periods of increased activity, including quarter-end and year-end.\nConnecticut Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one.\nSalary Range: Expected base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000/year \nThis range represents base salary only and does not include bonus or other forms of compensation. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to relevant experience, peer and market data, business sector, and/or geographic location. This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
