PURPOSE

Entrusted with comprehensive ownership and leadership duties, which includes forging strategic partnerships with C-suite Executives in FWD markets to create and manage the technical delivery of value with a common approach with both internal and external resources, leveraging Agile and Engineering expertise

• Spearhead the definition and execution of the long-term roadmap for FWD OMP technology solutions ensuring alignment with Market business goals and evolving customer dynamics to maximize ROI

• Lead, strategize, drive and manage OneMod technology, Devops, Infrastructure and Security Delivery function that operates across FWD Group in 9 FWD Markets:
• Strategize and Drive Delivery roadmaps, System landscape and Technology Architecture working closely with markets and their associated systems.
• Drive delivery of OneMod Platform with right set of workflows that empower business operators and drive measurable value across the Insurance lifecycle.
• Accountable to lead the OneMod Platform strategy and roadmap by creating new value propositions and services that meet and exceed customer needs and achieve sustainable business growth for all markets of FWD.
• Achieve defined and targeted business outcomes in efficiency improvement, cost optimization, process simplification in New Business, Servicing and Claims by driving the delivery initiative at scale to adopt OneMod for FWD markets
• Conduct holistic assessments of the existing Insurance System Landscape to uncover systemic inefficiencies, friction points, and strategic opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
• Drive systemic improvements by identifying root causes, tracking initiative outcomes, and enabling C-suite Executives to make informed decisions through strategic insights.
• Lead to define key problems during delivery of the OMP initiatives for different markets and identify right & practical solutions to resolve these constructively
• Be a thought leader on insurance technical solutions to deliver the needed capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of OneMod as a platform to serve the markets across FWD at scale.
• Define, institutionalize, and continuously refine key operational and financial performance indicators across OMP Program and delivery teams. Ensure robust governance mechanisms are in place to analyze, report, and monitor delivery performance trends.
• Engage and align with C Suite stakeholders across the FWD Bus and FWD Group to agree and standardize technology integration and OPS optimization through OneMod adoption.
• Demonstrate domain expertise to create solutions to help markets and drive operational efficiency.
• Lead Delivery for multiple squads and Business Units.

• Stay abreast of AI and other emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on OneMod platform offerings to drive futuristic technology solutions. Drive innovation experimenting with new technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Define, strategize and drive the technology roadmap of OneMod aligned with business goals to deliver best in class business systems.
• Visionary leadership to OneMod engineering teams to meet expected benefits and business outcomes. Create & keep the momentum through simplifying the long-term strategic outcomes to continuous deliveries of incremental value to the Business Units
• Foster a culture of continuous delivery of customer value aligned with FWDs overall Vision and Strategy
• Lead to define key problems during delivery of the initiatives and identify right & practical solutions to resolve these constructively
• Support architecture governance through use of effective metrics that inform and influences executive decisions
• Coach team and develop capabilities to ensure the continuous and frequent delivery of value to customers and stakeholders
• Foster close stakeholder engagement and management across all initiatives.
• Lead to define the Devops and Cloud innovation roadmap and implementation strategy with Market teams and Technology leaders across OneMod platform, driving the adoption of the new innovative technologies.
• Define measurable and quality metrics for solutions as assigned as they have a sizable impact on the business performance at each market and require advanced judgement to develop new and practical solutions.
• Design the cloud infrastructure that supports the organization’s velocity which includes creating and maintaining the continuous delivery pipeline toolchain, including continuous integration, automated builds, automated build verification testing, and automated deployment
• Ensure optimal resource allocation of team capacity, and continuous improvement of team performance and their technical and non-technical competencies on OneMod Delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• 14+ years’ experience in engineering leadership and technical Leadership within Insurance / Financial Services Industry
• 10+ years IT delivery experience on technological solutions across insurance systems
• 16+ Years of total IT experiences on various technologies
• Architecture and Design expertise with AWS or Azure Clouds
• Delivery Leadership Experience in Life and GI insurance domain systems and transformation Programs
• Well versed with system integration, APIs, Service Oriented Architecture and micro services architecture
• Experience in AI driven technologies.
• Experience building, integrating, deploying and provisioning business services

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Solid knowledge in Insurance domain and Insurance system architecture.
• Thought leader and comprehensive understanding of financial services, Insurance, Transformation, Agile, Project delivery
• Solid knowledge in engineering standards and practices
• Proficient in various technologies like Micro services, Api’s data warehousing concepts and tools, ETLs.
• Expertise in multi country Program Management in Agile Delivery
• Deep knowledge on latest and emerging technologies and practice, such as AI, DevOps, Cloud, Microservice, APIs and Mobile App
• Exemplify good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of business users, markets, IT, partners and vendors
• Good command of spoken and written English
