join us on our exciting journey.\nPURPOSE\nThis role will be expected to perform risk assessment of all life and health products as well as to build a highly competent underwriting team to deliver quality risk assessment, meet service level and productions targets set.\nKEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES \nOversee new business operations and underwriting functions that support the administration, risk assessment and issuance of life, health and investment linked applications. \nPerform risk assessment of all life and health products to ensure that risk assessed is compliant to our company’s and regulatory guidelines.\nWork closely with distribution team to ensure that service delivery and production targets are met.\nLead and provide guidance, training and development programs to our new business team and underwriters to ensure professional competency and deliver a delightful service experience to our customers and distributors.\nReview appeals and handle post claim underwriting.\nDevelop and provide constant review of our underwriting guidelines to ensure that it is complied with our Group’s underwriting philosophy and negotiate with reinsurers to ensure that the guidelines remain competitive.\nSupport new product launches and corporate’s initiatives by establishing appropriate new business and underwriting guidelines for the initiatives.\nPerform new business and underwriting audits. \nProvide training and consultation support to distribution channels.\nReduce operational risk by settings guidelines, procedures and controls that are compliance to the Company’s risk governance and philosophy.\nDeliver the Company’s key performance indicators set.\nSupport new product launches and corporate’s initiatives to ensure smooth delivery.\nAchieve operations efficiency through automation by constantly reviewing existing processes, analysing management information data generated by automated rules engine and reviewing the underwriting rules to improve straight through processing rates.\nReview, monitor and manage financial budgets and expedition for the functions.\nQUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE\n\nDegree holder\nAt least 8 years of underwriting experience in life and health insurance, preferably with experience in underwriting high net worth applications.\nHave experience in managing new business operations or case management of high net worth business\nHave experience in leading and managing a team of underwriters.\nKNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS\n\nStrong knowledge in life & health insurance.\nGood understanding on regulatory related to life and health insurance.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong relationship management skills with distributors.\nGood analytical, problem solving and decision-making
