Relocation is not available.\nWe are seeing a Process Control Technician to ensure the safety, reliability, & effectiveness of the various Process Control Systems in the Houston facilities (including the Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)). The PCT will develop and implement plans for Process Control within their respected facility with a focus on hardware/software upgrades, advanced control strategies and industry trends for instrumentation and operator interfaces.\nIn conjunction with other members of the operations team, the incumbent will interface with other functions including safety, environmental, process safety management, and product quality in support of safe, reliable and sustainable operations.\nWhat You’ll Do\nThe PCT has responsibility for providing a reliable DCS and PLC systems and implementing Control Strategies, which protect the health of the processes and people in the facility (EHS)\nResponsible for tracking the Alarm Management Protocols for the plant and developing methods to ensure compliance.\nSupport Data Historian (Aspen IP21) to aid in process troubleshooting and compliance tracking for environmental control devices including flares, thermal oxidizers, & WWTP.\nInterface with multiple disciplines to aid driving consistent & efficient production of product including troubleshooting/tuning control loops and aiding in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.\nDevelop specifications for field instruments, control systems I/O and architecture.\nWill aid in leading a long-term strategy for upgrading obsolete control systems driving standardization & improvements where possible including development of capital budgets.\nMonitor and maintain network systems and data historian.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired\nWithin the Petrochemical/Specialty Chemical Industry5+ years of progressive instrumentation or electrical technician experience OR\n5+ years of operating DCS and PLC systems OR\n2 or more years of experience in Process Control\n\nPreferred\nTechnical proficiency in basic Process Control Principles and Instrumentation acquired through education and experience\nFamiliarity with Control Systems (including Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers and Network systems)\nAbility to troubleshoot and foresee technology requirements especially in a Business Continuity situation\nOur Ideal
