As part of the team, you will contribute not only to test automation but also to the development of engineering solutions that help improve product quality and team productivity.\nRole Purpose\nEnhance the quality and reliability of software products by driving test automation, building QA infrastructure, and implementing strategies that ensure effective and stable testing processes.\n About the role:\nWe are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to drive quality assurance initiatives through the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing solutions for backend services and APIs. In this role, you will build scalable test automation frameworks, develop internal quality tools, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.\nYou will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to improve product quality, increase test coverage, and optimize automation execution. The ideal candidate has strong Python development skills, hands-on experience with automation frameworks, Linux environments, containerization technologies, and modern CI/CD practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend services and APIs\n\nImprove test automation framework and supporting infrastructure\n\nCreate and maintain internal automation tools and utilities\n\nDesign and implement scalable test automation solutions\n\nIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines\n\nAnalyze test results, investigate failures, and perform root cause analysis\n\nCollaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to improve product quality - Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency\n\nParticipate in code reviews and establish automation best practices\n\nContribute to quality strategy and continuous improvement initiatives\n\nEvaluate and adopt modern engineering tools and practices, including AI-assisted development workflows\n\n 3+ years of experience in QA Automation (Middle) or 5+ years (Senior)\nStrong Python programming skills\n\nExperience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks\n\nSolid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and test design techniques\n\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills\n\nPractical experience with Docker and containerized environments\n\nExperience working with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)\n\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, REST APIs, and client-server architecture\n\nExperience with API testing, UI testing, and backend validation\n\nAbility to read and work with technical documentation in English\n\nAbility to effectively leverage AI agents for code generation, debugging, test development, log analysis, and productivity improvements\n\nExperience using LLMs to accelerate test case creation, automation development, and incident investigation\n\n Benefits\nAt Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey.
