The role offers broad exposure across the settlements lifecycle and close contact with clients, trading desks, custodians and audit, making it a strong fit for someone who is methodical, calm under pressure and keen to develop across a range of responsibilities.\nResponsibilities\nProcess the end to end settlement of FX and money market transactions, from booking and confirmation through to payment, within agreed timeframes\nChase down and clear cash breaks and trade mismatches, working directly with clients, counterparties and custodians to get them fixed quickly\nAct as a point of contact for queries from internal teams and clients, keeping service levels consistently high\nFlag control weaknesses or operational risks early and suggest practical ways to tighten them up\nDeliver regular reporting and periodic checks accurately and to deadline\nBuild knowledge of every function in the team so you can step in where needed, including a share of bank holiday cover\nGet involved in change projects and efficiency improvements, and work closely with neighbouring operations teams\nRequirements\nOperations experience gained within an investment bank, ideally in a settlements or confirmations seat\nA good grounding in reconciliations\nConfident Excel user, comfortable with the wider Office suite, and quick to use technology to solve day to day problems\nCommunicates clearly and professionally, both on the phone and in writing\nWell organised, able to juggle competing deadlines, and equally effective working alone or as part of a team\nAdaptable and happy to take on a
