Together we’re building a world-class platform to amplify our teams’ most powerful ideas.\nSecurity is foundational to this mission and must be delivered in a way that supports how our engineering teams build and operate complex systems at scale.\nTake the next step in your career.\nThe role\nWe're looking for an experienced IAM Platform Engineer to own and evolve our authentication, identity federation, credential management and privileged access platforms.\nYou'll help modernise our identity infrastructure, replacing bespoke authentication patterns with scalable, standards-based IAM services that are secure, automated and easy for engineering teams to consume.\nYou'll help shape the future of authentication and privileged access within one of the world's leading quantitative research firms, working on large-scale engineering problems rather than traditional operational IAM.\nKey responsibilities\nImprove Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) and organisational change processes\n\nEnhance identity lifecycle automation across Workday, IdentityIQ and Active Directory\n\nBuild and maintain a comprehensive entitlement catalogue including:\nOwnership\n\nBusiness purpose\n\nRisk classification\n\nApproval models\n\nUsage context\n\nImprove access request workflows and access certification processes\n\nIdentify stale, orphaned and excessive access\n\nEngineer improvements to SailPoint IdentityIQ workflows, provisioning and connectors\n\nReduce manual operational work through automation and self-service capabilities\n\nDevelop APIs and tooling to expose identity and entitlement data\n\nProduce operational documentation, runbooks and audit evidence\n\nSupport compliance, security reviews and regulatory audits\n\nDesign and improve modern entitlement models including RBAC, ABAC and policy-based access control\n\nWho are we looking for?\nWe're looking for experience in the following areas:\nEngineering and operating Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms, ideally SailPoint IdentityIQ or an equivalent solution.\n\nIdentity lifecycle management, including Joiner, Mover and Leaver (JML) processes.\n\nIdentity data integration with HR systems, ideally Workday.\n\nActive Directory, LDAP and enterprise identity data management.\n\nEntitlement governance, including entitlement metadata, ownership and access models.\n\nAccess request, approval workflows, access reviews, certifications and attestations.\n\nIdentity provisioning and integration technologies, including SCIM, REST APIs and SPML.\n\nCoding, platform configuration and automation to improve identity services and reduce manual operational effort.\n\nWorking collaboratively with engineering, security and application teams to deliver scalable identity solutions.\n\nWhy join us?\nHighly competitive compensation plus annual discretionary bonus\n\nLunch provided via Just Eat for Business and dedicated barista bar\n\n35 days’ annual leave\n\n9% company pension contributions\n\nInformal dress code and excellent work-life balance\n\nComprehensive healthcare and life assurance\n\nCycle-to-work scheme\n\nMonthly company events\n\nG-Research is committed to cultivating and preserving an inclusive work environment.
