As part of our transformation, we are looking for a highly-skilled network automation engineer to join our Colo Infrastructure team.\nThe team manage a highly available colocation network. You will design and build automation solutions that enable rapid deployment of new infrastructure and efficient management of existing infra whilst maintaining reliable operations.\nKey responsibilities of the role include:\nBuilding and evolving automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle management\nDeveloping infrastructure-as-code solutions using Python, Ansible, Terraform and Jinja2\nIntegrating network automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deployments\nCreating APIs and self-service tooling for engineering teams\nImplementing observability and telemetry solutions for performance and reliability\nPartnering with network, platform and security teams to deliver resilient, scalable systems\nContributing to incident response and production reliability\nOn-call responsibilities for the most critical parts of the infrastructure\nWho are we looking for?\nWe’re looking for a skilled network engineer with technical experience of managing high-performance, low-latency, scalable and resilient network infrastructure solutions.\nThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:\nConfident with Python and solid engineering fundamentals across testing, version control and CI/CD\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Jinja2; also must have experience leveraging AI tools, such as Claude Code\nFamiliarity with Docker and Kubernetes\nExposure to monitoring, observability or telemetry in distributed systems\nPragmatic problem solver who can operate in ambiguity and take ownership\nComfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced engineering teams\nDeep understanding of networking fundamentals and ideally experience in network engineer in financial markets\nWhy join us?\nHighly competitive compensation plus annual discretionary bonus\nLunch provided (via Just Eat for Business) and dedicated barista bar\n35 days’ annual leave\n9% company pension contributions\nInformal dress code and excellent work/life balance\nComprehensive healthcare and life assurance\nCycle-to-work scheme\nMonthly company events\nG-Research is committed to cultivating and preserving an inclusive work environment.
