The team provides the Board and Executive Management Team with independent insight into the security of our most important information, directly informing security decisions at the highest levels of the business.\nAE operations range from a few weeks to more than a full year, with each engagement designed to emulate different internal and external threat actors and test a broad range of systems, processes and assumptions. The variety and complexity of this work creates continuous opportunities to learn, solve challenging problems and develop both technical expertise and strong teamwork.\nReporting into the AE Manager, key responsibilities of this role include:\nShaping the future direction of the AE programme, developing the team, tooling and operational capabilities\nLeading the delivery of AE operations, ensuring they are well scoped, professionally executed and deliver value to the business\nProviding technical leadership throughout operations, maintaining high standards of tradecraft, operational security and decision-making\nCollaborating with teams across the organisation to maximise operational outcomes and organisational learning\nManaging, coaching and developing team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement and professional conduct\nWho are we looking for?\nThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:\nSignificant experience leading complex offensive security operations, ideally within technology or financial services\nExperience leading and developing specialist technical teams\nExcellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with ability to operate effectively in complex environments\nAbility to identify novel attack paths while maintaining realistic threat emulation\nStrong decision-making skills, with the ability to lead teams and deliver outcomes in ambiguous situations\nAdministrator-level knowledge of Windows and Linux environments\nStrong scripting skills in Powershell, Python or similar, and programming experience in languages such as C/C++, Go or C#\nAdvanced understanding of offensive security, operational security and defensive technologies\nAbility to think from both attacker and defender perspectives to improve security outcomes\nCommitted to coaching others and role modelling professional behaviours\nWhy join us?\nHighly competitive compensation plus annual discretionary bonus\nLunch provided (via Just Eat for Business) and dedicated barista bar\n30 days’ annual leave\n9% company pension contributions\nInformal dress code and excellent work/life balance\nComprehensive healthcare and life assurance\nCycle-to-work scheme\nMonthly company events\nG-Research is committed to cultivating and preserving an inclusive work environment.
