G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Security Engineer to support Cyber Ready cybersecurity and information systems security engineering efforts.\nIn this role, you’ll contribute to C4ISR security engineering, system authorization, and cybersecurity risk management activities while working alongside a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous growth.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupport information security program implementation and cybersecurity engineering activities within assigned programs and systems.\nPerform Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) activities supporting C4ISR systems and mission environments.\nSupport the development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity requirements throughout the system lifecycle.\nProvide technical expertise supporting Interim Authorizations to Test (IATOs), Authorizations to Operate (ATOs), Interim Authorizations to Operate, and Authorizations to Connect (ATCs) for DoD programs.\nPerform system security and network analysis across Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI environments.\nAssess security controls, vulnerabilities, technical risks, and compliance gaps and support development of practical remediation actions.\nSupport Risk Management Framework activities and preparation of cybersecurity documentation and authorization artifacts.\nCoordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, program, and customer stakeholders to resolve security issues and maintain system security posture.\nSupport security strategy, policy implementation, security awareness, planning, and other activities that reduce organizational and mission risk.\nCommunicate cybersecurity risks, findings, and recommendations through clear technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience performing Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) activities.\nExperience supporting C4ISR security engineering activities.\nExperience supporting DoD system assessment and authorization activities, including IATOs, ATOs, IATTs, and ATCs.\nExperience performing system security or network security analysis in classified and unclassified environments.\nKnowledge of DoD cybersecurity, information assurance, security controls, and risk management practices.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nActive DoD Secret Clearance at the start of employment with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdvanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Administration or other related scientific or technical discipline.\nFamiliarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework and cybersecurity authorization processes.\nExperience supporting security activities across multiple network classification levels, including Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI environments.\nExperience developing or reviewing cybersecurity documentation and system authorization artifacts.\nExperience working in cross-functional or customer-facing environments.\nAdditional Considerations\nThis is a full-time position supporting mission-focused customer environments \nOutside employment or activities must not create conflicts of interest with company or customer responsibilities\nWhy G2 Ops?
