You’ll guide architecture and delivery across modern full-stack systems (React 19 + Node.js), build durable engineering practices, and ensure we ship fast without sacrificing quality.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and grow an engineering team: hiring, coaching, performance management, career development.\n\nSet and evolve technical strategy for developer platforms, dashboards, and internal tooling.\n\nPartner with Product/Design to deliver roadmap outcomes with high velocity and strong craftsmanship.\n\nEstablish engineering standards: code quality, testing, documentation, security, and operational excellence.\n\nOwn delivery health: sprint/iteration hygiene, predictable execution, and strong on-call/incident practices.\n\nDrive architecture decisions across front-end, back-end (tRPC encouraged), and deployment (Docker + CI/CD).\n\nBuild a culture of ownership, feedback, and continuous improvement across teams.\n\nIdeal Qualifications\n7+ years building software, including 2-4+ years leading teams (EM/Tech Lead/Head of Eng).\n\nStrong full-stack understanding (React + Node.js), modern front-end patterns, SSR/performance, API design.\n\nExperience with shipping and operating production systems (cloud, CI/CD, observability, incident management).\n\nProven ability to balance speed with quality in startup environments.\n\nClear communicator with strong judgment and a track record of developing engineers.\n\nCompensation & Terms\n120 - 200USD/Hr, based on experience and location\n\nContract leadership roles considered (up to 6 months)\n\nRemote-first, global team\n\nApplication Process\nResume submission → Leadership/technical screen → → Behavioral interview → Offer\nAbout G2i\nG2i helps startups hire senior engineers faster and smarter through video-based technical evaluation.
