The role ensures compliance with G3 policies, practices, budgets, and deadlines and is responsible for managing capital investment projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAligns the maintenance program with current operational priorities to minimize downtime.\nPrepares annual maintenance budgets and capital expenditure (CapEx) project requirements.\nEnsures work is performed safely and that hazards are anticipated and effectively managed.\nDevelops and implements an effective preventive maintenance program.\nEnsures the availability of critical spare parts.\nBuilds team cohesion through constructive coaching that fosters engagement and accountability.\nAllocates resources and plans budgets effectively, with a focus on cost control.\nImplements appropriate corrective actions to address equipment and operational issues.\nAssigns and manages contractors effectively in accordance with G3 policies and procedures.\nPromotes positive working relationships and leads by example.\nCommunicates effectively and promotes and adheres to G3 policies, procedures and programs (EHS/QMS) to team members and third parties.\nSupports the development of individual technical skills and effective teamwork.\nPlans, develops, and implements methods and procedures to improve operations, reduce operating costs, and optimize the use of labour resources.\nEnsures equipment complies with government and third-party rules, regulations, and contractual requirements.\nEnsures plans and specifications are kept current and properly scheduled.\nMaintains effective communication with Operations, Maintenance, and other internal departments.\nPrepares daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity reports to support effective performance monitoring.\nPlans and prioritizes safety inspections and communicates the results to senior management.\nDevelops and implements safe work procedures.\nEnsures work orders are completed accurately.\nManages the annual vacation schedule in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.\nAssesses the training and skills development needs of employees under their supervision.\n\nPROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nA minimum of five years of management experience\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nKnowledge of project management and human resources management\nProficiency with standard computer applications\nRed Seal ticket (an
