From molecular biology to space exploration and everything in between, G42 realizes exponential possibilities today.\nOverview:\nThe Facility Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of data center facilities and infrastructure, including white space, MEP systems, and building operations. The role ensures high availability, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and optimized capacity utilization across the site while leading facility strategy, maintenance programs, and vendor management.\nThis role combines facility management, data center operations, leadership, and white space optimization to support mission-critical environments.\n.\nResponsibilities:\nFacility & Infrastructure Management\nOversee day-to-day operations of the data center facility, including electrical, mechanical, and building systems (MEP). \nEnsure all equipment is maintained to prevent downtime and ensure operational continuity. \nOwn preventive and corrective maintenance programs for infrastructure and critical systems. \nManage building systems, repairs, upgrades, and expansion activities. \nData Center Operations & Reliability\nLead data center operations to meet uptime, reliability, and SLA targets. \nAct as the escalation point for critical incidents, leading troubleshooting and recovery. \nDrive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions for recurring issues. \nMonitor and report KPIs, system health, and performance metrics. \nWhite Space & Capacity Management\nManage data center white space (server rooms, racks, layouts) for optimal utilization. \nDevelop and maintain capacity plans, rack space allocation, and expansion strategies. \nMaintain accurate inventory and DCIM records for equipment and space usage. \nConduct audits on power, cooling, and space utilization and recommend improvements.\nProjects, Design & Continuous Improvement\nLead facility-related projects, including construction, fit-outs, and infrastructure upgrades. \nCollaborate with engineering, architects, and design teams for infrastructure planning. \nDrive automation, sustainability, and efficiency initiatives. \nEnsure as-built drawings (AutoCAD/PDF) and documentation are up-to-date. \nVendor & Stakeholder Management\nManage third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers, including performance tracking. \nApprove and oversee Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes. \nBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders (IT, NOC, Security, Projects). \nHealth, Safety & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with US regulatory standards, safety codes, and data center certifications. \nLead HSE programs, fire drills, and emergency preparedness activities. \nMaintain adherence to Uptime Institute standards and operational best practices. \nPromote safe working environment and housekeeping practices. \nSpace, Asset & Cost Management\nManage space planning, office/facility utilization, and cost efficiency initiatives. \nOversee inventory, storage, and asset lifecycle management (equipment and furniture). \nControl operational budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, and cost optimization strategies (inferred from facilities ownership) \nLeadership & People Management\nLead, mentor, and develop facilities, operations, and technical teams. \nProvide training on operational procedures, safety, and infrastructure management. \nDrive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field). \n8-12+ years’ experience in data center facilities or critical environment operations.
