Supervisor Purpose\nTo lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily operations of the reconciliation team within the CPC, ensuring accurate, timely administration, robust internal controls, and compliance with company policies and procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise, guide, and review the work of CPC reconciliation staff to ensure strict adherence to internal controls, policies, and timelines\n\nResponsible to collate information from different source documents in order to complete timely and accurate reconciliation for each fund movement\n\nResponsible to engage with the providers of the documentation (Cash Processing Centre management) to ensure that the data is relevant, up to date, accurate and complete and provided in a timely manner\n\nResponsible to provide Customer Reporting\n\nProactively communicate with internal staff and customers in order to resolve discrepancies within a set timeline\n\nServe as the primary escalation point for unresolved discrepancies and liaise with the Branch Manager and National Cash Compliance Manager\n\nReconcile between claims received and actual discrepancies\n\nResponsible for carrying out discrepancy trending to identify trends\n\nResponsible for reporting of processing backlogs as prescribed by relevant procedures\n\nResponsible to perform monthly ATM Snap checks\n\nReview current reconciliation process on a regular basis\n\nResponsible to ensure that all reconciliation documentation is managed in line with Records Management Controls\n\nLead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by senior management\n\nOversee staff scheduling, performance management, training, and workload allocation for the reconciliation team\n\nAssist Reconciliation Departments at Head Office with cash processing recons and resolving queries\n\nAssist with daily operational / finance admin issues / queries pertaining to cash processing and related activities\n\nProvide ad hoc support on customer queries, where resolution has not occurred at branch level\n\nManage complex escalations and collaborate with executive management to drive root-cause resolution of repeating query types\n\nEnsure adherence to controls regarding cash counts\n\nSubmission of cash count reports to Head Office\n\nEscalation of non-adherence of procedures\n\nAny other Group/Africa or ad-hoc reports as requested\n\nAssist with year-end audit in provision of supporting documentation and information\n\nParticipate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.\n\nParticipate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks\n\nReport all safety incidents to the relevant people\n\nDiscuss all safety incidents on all levels\n\nFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management\n\nAttend safety education and refresher programmes\n\nComply with safety policies and procedures at workplace\n\nDistribute safety information as and when required\n\nRequirements\n\nCertificate in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline\n\n3-5 years’ experience in financial reconciliation, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity\n\nPrevious Cash Management Centre experience would be added
