In our program you will have the opportunity to own your own projects, participate in meetings, and work cross-functionally with other departments.\nJob Summary: GAF is looking for a Supply Chain Procurement Intern who will support the Procurement Team in sourcing, negotiating, and procurement of Raw Materials. The intern will gain practical experience in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, data analytics, and procurement strategies.\nQualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering Finance, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.)\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.\nThe intern would be responsible for joining the Residential Procurement team and working to enhance procurement systems and processes that ultimately bring value to the customer as well as supporting GAF’s profitability. The Supply Chain Procurement internship will have split responsibilities in the day-to-day procurement process which keeps the business operational, as well as project based assignments to bring efficiency and service improvements to the operation.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist with Procurement Processes:Support the procurement team in Procurement activities.\nAssist in the preparation of Procurement contract negotiations.\nHelp maintain and update supplier information and procurement records.\n\nSupplier ManagementCommunicate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders, as needed\nAssist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.\nHelp resolve issues related to deliveries, invoicing, and payment discrepancies.\n\nData Analysis and ReportingAssist in analyzing procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.\nPrepare reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.\nSupport the team in monitoring inventory levels at plants and terminals\n\nProcess ImprovementParticipate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.\nProvide suggestions for improving procurement policies and procedures.\nEngagement and integration with all areas within the Supply Chain as well as other departments within the company to bring projects and assignments to successful implementation and adoption\n\nRequirements:\nExcellent communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team. The successful candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.\nCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship now and in the future.\nAll GAF internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however, there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 37.5 hours per week over the summer. Transportation, F-1 and HB-1 visa sponsorship will not be provided in association with these positions.\nBase salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
