And under this roof, we protect what matters most.\nJob Summary\nWe are looking for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve plant goals. Through expert application of engineering techniques and principles, the incumbent will conduct analyses and investigations pertaining to construction of new facilities and enhancements for existing facilities to optimize productive capability of the plant. We encourage the Project Engineer to make sound recommendations, considering such factors as cost, maintainability, facility of production and availability of materials and equipment with emphasis on safety and optimum performance. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly adaptive and capable of managing multiple engineering assignments.\nEssential Duties\nLead and execute capital projects (modifications, improvements, new equipment) across the entire lifecycle, ensuring delivery meets scope, schedule, and budget requirements.\nDefine, design, and manage project installations, including preparing detailed design scopes, cost estimates, and capital expenditure justifications.\nDrive continuous improvement by providing technical analysis of current best technologies, recommending process/equipment modifications, and resolving routine operational issues.\nServe as the primary technical resource for design, detailed engineering, coordination, commissioning, and startup activities for both project and plant engineering initiatives.\nManage internal maintenance and external contractors during project execution and support new product/systems development.\nProvide consistent plant engineering support to Production and Maintenance, leading troubleshooting efforts and serving as the primary resource for complex problem resolution.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain thorough engineering standards for project execution, equipment, design, safety, and cost control.\nActively promote and enforce safety initiatives, policies, and best practices related to equipment operation and maintenance.\nQualifications Required\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) required \n 5+ years experience, preferably in manufacturing or roofing/building products. \nMust be able to work as a multi-disciplinary project manager, supervise as a lead engineer, and provide expertise in maintenance, operations, and process management.\nThe ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing all project aspects within budget, scope, and downtime constraints.\nThorough knowledge of computer software and G Suite is essential.\nGeneral Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nKnowledge of OSHA, general industry, and environmental compliance.\nProficient in written, verbal, and listening communication skills.\nAdvanced analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail; able to plan, execute, and control multiple concurrent tasks.\nDemonstrated technical problem-solving skills, including hands-on experience with contractors and/or internal maintenance.\nProven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects.\nPreferred engineering experience with integrated design environments (e.g., OEMs or consultant engineering).\nTechnical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nDemonstrated ability in capital project planning, development, and execution, including conceptual/detailed design, construction/installation coordination, training, turnover, commissioning support, and sustained ownership.\nApplication knowledge of standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures; preferred engineering experience in transferable manufacturing, OEM, or engineering design environments with continuous production equipment/process systems.\nAdvanced ability to read/interpret specifications and drawings.\nProficiency using root cause analysis and structured methods (e.g., Kepner-Trego) for troubleshooting.\nAbility to translate technical data for operations and maintenance personnel.\nExposure to process hazard analysis and process safety management methodologies.\nAdvanced knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering fundamentals.\nQualifications Preferred\n Design drafting experience with CAD, preferably Autodesk products. \nPhysical Demands\nStationary Position - Frequently \nMove/Traverse - Frequently \nStationary Position/Seated - Occasionally \nTransport/Lifting - Occasionally (up to 50 lbs.)\nTransport/Carrying - Frequently \nExerting Force/Pushing - Frequently \nExerting Force/Pulling - Frequently \nAscend/Descend - Frequently \nBalancing - Occasionally \nPosition Self/Stooping - Frequently \nPosition Self/Kneeling - Frequently \nPosition Self/Crouching - Frequently \nPosition Self/Crawling - Frequently \nReaching - Constantly \nHandling - Constantly \nGrasping - Frequently \nFeeling - Rarely \nCommunicate/Talking - Occasionally \nCommunicate/Hearing - Frequently \nRepetitive Motions - Frequently \nCoordination - Frequently \nWorking Conditions\nExtreme cold - Frequently\nExtreme heat - Frequently\nHumid - Frequently\nWet - Frequently\nNoise - Frequently\nHazards - Frequently\nTemperature Change - Frequently\nVibration - Frequently\nTravel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 10% for corporate project initiatives is required.Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
