AWS Cloud, ESXi Hypervisor, Veeam Backup, and Kaspersky EDR Server, across both on-premises and cloud environments.\n\nManage network servers and technology infrastructure, ensuring data security, system availability, and efficient performance.\n\nSet up user accounts, workstations, and required IT resources for new employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process.\n\nMonitor system performance and maintain IT systems in accordance with established requirements and standards, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.\n\nProvide technical support to the Help Desk and other University departments by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions.\n\nConduct routine and scheduled audits of IT systems, including backup systems, to ensure data integrity, system availability, and disaster recovery readiness.\n\nImplement and maintain IT security measures, including access controls, firewalls, endpoint protection, and regular data backups.\n\nKeep up to date with emerging technologies, IT trends, and best practices to enhance technical expertise and support the effective adoption of new technologies across the University.\n\nCreate, maintain, and regularly update an internal IT knowledge base/wiki containing technical documentation, user manuals, procedures, and IT policies to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational continuity.\n\nCollaborate with relevant University departments to migrate Microsoft Access databases to SQL databases based on operational and business requirements.\n\nManage Google Workspace Administration and University email services to ensure efficient communication, collaboration, and secure access for staff and users.\n\nManage QNAP NAS storage systems and perform daily monitoring and checks to ensure data availability, storage integrity, and system reliability.\n\nPerform backup restoration through Veeam when required, ensuring timely and secure data recovery.\n\nPerform any other related IT duties and responsibilities as assigned by the University.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\nMinimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a similar role.\n\nStrong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, user and group management, and security permissions.\n\nHands-on experience with server virtualization technologies, particularly VMware ESXi/Hypervisor.\n\nGood knowledge and practical experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, preferably Veeam Backup.\n\nExperience in managing endpoint security solutions, preferably Kaspersky EDR or similar security platforms.\n\nExperience with cloud environments, preferably AWS Cloud.\n\nGood understanding of network infrastructure, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and network security.\n\nExperience in managing email and collaboration platforms, preferably Google Workspace / Google Admin.\n\nExperience with NAS storage solutions, preferably QNAP.\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL databases, with the ability to support database migration and integration.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.\n\nGood understanding of IT security principles, access control, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery.\n\nAbility to monitor system performance, analyze event logs, and proactively identify potential technical issues.\n\nStrong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills, including the ability to prepare technical manuals, procedures, and IT policies.\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide technical support to staff across different University departments.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced academic environment.\n\nStrong commitment to confidentiality, data security, and compliance with University IT policies and procedures.\n\nAbility and willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and continuously develop technical knowledge.\n\nGood command of English, both written and
