You bring a balance of technical depth, project ownership, and people leadership.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred\nActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (multi-state reciprocity preferred)\nStrong understanding of civil engineering principles, permitting, and construction practices\nDemonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in dynamic environments\nExperience:\n12+ years of experience in civil engineering\nProficient with the development of design and construction documents for infrastructure projects\nProven experience with regulatory requirements and permitting associated with infrastructure projects\nBackground in electric transmission or similar infrastructure projects preferred\nExperience using engineering and project tools such as AutoCAD, Hydrology, Hydraulic, Stormwater Management and Project Management software\nTechnical Responsibilities:\nServe as a trusted technical advisor, applying advanced engineering concepts to complex challenges\nEvaluate and implement innovative methods, tools, and processes\nAnalyze projects from a systems perspective with a focus on sustainability and long-term performance\nStay current on evolving engineering practices and recommend improvements\nManagement, Supervision, and Guidance:\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and drafters\nAssign work, manage performance, and foster continuous learning\nProvide coaching that builds technical capability and professional growth\nPromote a culture of curiosity, accountability, and collaboration\nCommunication, Teamwork, and Leadership:\nBuild strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal partners\nCommunicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences\nLead with influence-bringing teams together to solve complex challenges\nRepresent your discipline in cross-functional initiatives and strategic discussions\nWhy GAI?\nAt GAI, exceptional people have an exceptional place to work, grow, lead, and achieve.
