Potential work locations may include offices in Cranberry or Homestead, PA. Applicants would be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing highway design efforts as well as preparing construction plans, right-of-way plans, specifications, and project estimates.\nSpecific Duties:\nAssist the Project Manager with all portions of engineering projects; maintain quality standards for all aspects of the projects; mentor lower-level staff as needed for technical issues.\nAssist with developing and providing oversight for the preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules for specific tasks of overall projects, supervise staff to complete their assigned tasks; identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supervisor; maintain GAI’s procedures and protocols; assist with all aspects of financials on projects.\nDesign development, review, and management of assignments; highway engineering horizontal and vertical geometry designs through CAD software (MicroStation, OpenRoads) using the AASHTO Green Book, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, and applicable state/county/local government guidance documents; hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and storm sewer and stormwater management design; checking deliverables for technical completeness and compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications.\nMay serve as a Task Manager on small projects.\nGeneral Characteristics\nApplies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.\nIndependently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.\nLeads tasks and projects of moderately complex scopes.\nDevelops plans, specifications, and other project documents.\nSelects appropriate principles of engineering economics, and probability and statistics to analyze risk in a complex engineering problem.\nExperience Required\n8+ years\nEducation\nB.S. in Engineering required. M.S. in Engineering preferred.\nCertification/Licensure\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) License, reciprocity in multiple states.\nTechnical Responsibilities\nAssigns tasks to other technical and non-technical staff.
