The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment that will utilize their related experience to develop professionally and grow in today's global environment.\nJob Duties:\nAssist in water/wastewater process and pipeline design projects for private and municipal clients.\nAssist in Civil Engineering design and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater components of Land Development projects. \nParticipates in technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans. \nFilling out and completing permit applications for processing. \nField work may include water sampling, site inspection, and construction administration support including completing field observation reports. \nPrepare plans utilizing AutoDesk Civil 3D. \nAs a GAI Student Engineering Intern, this position is responsible for assisting a team of engineers and project managers with Civil and Environmental designs and permitting. This individual should be technically focused and a strong leader with developed technical, communication, and computer skills.\nExperience:\nThis is an entry-level position with no experience required.\nEducation and Training:\nEnrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in the field of Engineering (preferably Civil or Environmental) within an accredited college or university, is required.\nMust have good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel\nExperience with drafting programs, particularly AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.\nCommunication Skills:\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical reports and procedures, and governmental regulations.\nAbility to write reports and other business correspondence.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from other staff members.\nMathematical Skills:\nRequired mathematical skills are commensurate with the technical or engineering discipline practiced (e.g., engineering calculations, design, etc.)\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
