The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment. The candidate must be a team player who excels in collaborative environments and has the ability to independently lead traffic tasks with complex features by work performed directly or through supervision of others. Shall be familiar with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and MUTCD design requirements. Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh experience a plus.\nResponsibilities include: \nLeading the production and checking of technical traffic reports, design plans, design calculations, specifications, and cost opinions.\nPrimary tasks will include traffic modeling and analysis (Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, etc.), traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking design; and traffic control (Maintenance and Protection of Traffic) design.\nMay serve as a Task Manager on small projects.\nQualifications \nBachelors or better in Engineering.\nExperience 12+ years.\nPTOE desired.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).\nPossesses exceptional oral and written communication skills.\nMicroStation computer-aided design skills required, OpenRoads Designer experience a plus.\nGeneral Characteristics\nApplies thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of engineering related to the variety of aspects affecting their organization.\nApplies progressively acquired expertise to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.\nKeeps informed of new methods and developments affecting their practice and recommends new practices or changes in emphasis of projects.\nLeads projects of moderate complexity and scope or leads a major project.\nAnalyzes complex problems across specialty areas appropriate to the practice of engineering.\nAnalyzes ethical dilemmas to determine appropriate courses of action. \nMinimum Years of Experience\n12+ Years of Experience\nEducation\nB.S. or M.S. Engineering\nCertification/Licensure\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.)
