Primary responsibilities for the position will be to perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) engineering analyses, including hydraulic modeling and inundation mapping, and preparing summary reports and figures. The work will support a variety of projects including, but not limited to, stream and wetland mitigation design, civil site design, utility protection, and infrastructure upgrades and replacements. The position may also include performing civil engineering tasks such as E&S control, site layout, drainage design, and site inspections.\nJob Duties:\nPerform hydrologic and hydraulic computations for the design of channels, culverts, bridges, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, etc.\nUse of the following software: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Pond Pack, TR-55, etc.\nWork on a variety of civil engineering projects including E&S control, site design, drainage design, etc.\nUse AutoCAD and ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro to develop new and edit existing drawings.\nFieldwork for site reconnaissance and measurements.\nTechnical writing to develop summary reports for analyses performed.\nWork in a team environment under a project or task manager to meet client deliverables.\nWork on more than one project at a time.\nOccasional travel (1-2 times per month) for project site visits.\nGeneral Characteristics\nPossesses foundational engineering concepts through undergraduate-level education. \nAcquires basic knowledge and develops basic skills through mentored experience. \nApplies learned knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks. \nPerforms routine technical work which does not require previous experience. \nUnderstands and complies with ethical codes.\nMinimum Years of Experience\nEntry / 0+ Years of Experience \nEducation\nB.S. Engineering or other technical degree\nTechnical Responsibilities\nCollects data and gathers information or documents. \nParticipates in laboratory testing and field investigations. \nPerforms basic computations or analysis. \nAssists with preparation of engineering deliverables.\nObserves construction activities.\nProject and Task Management\nResponsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope. \nNo managerial responsibilities at this level.\nManagement Responsibility\nReceives close supervision on all aspects of assignments. \nAttains mentored experience from a licensed engineer.\nCommunication Skills\nPossesses basic oral and written communication skills.
