This role is a hybrid role based out of our Hyderabad location.\nIn this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting India entity accounting, tax, and finance operations by assisting with statutory compliance, financial reporting, and documentation requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with teams like Controllership, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and external advisors. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in Excel.\n What You'll Do:\nAssist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.\n\nSupport statutory compliance requirements, including coordination for audits and preparation of documentation for regulatory filings.\n\nAssist in direct and indirect tax compliance processes (e.g., data compilation for GST, TDS, and corporate tax filings).\n\nMaintain and organize financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as Controllership, Tax, Legal, and FP&A to gather information and resolve queries.\n\nSupport ad-hoc finance projects, process improvements, and data analysis to enhance reporting efficiency.\n\nThis is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business. This role will require occasional travel for team meetings, training, or company events.\n What We're Looking For:\nRecently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.\n\nStrong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and basic understanding of financial statements.\n\nBasic understanding of Indian tax concepts (GST, TDS, corporate tax) through coursework or internships.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google sheets (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).\n\nStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.\n\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\n Nice-to-have skills or experience:\nInternship or project experience in accounting, audit, or tax.\n\nExposure to Indian GAAP or Ind AS through coursework or practical training.\n\nWorking knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or other ERP tools).\n\nFamiliarity with GST return preparation or basic tax compliance processes.\n\nProgress toward professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or CPA.\n\nInterest in process improvement and automation in finance operations.\n\nWhy You’ll Love It Here:\nGainsight is a place where innovation is shaped through collaboration, curiosity, and a shared focus on solving real-world problems.
