The engineer will leverage GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models for development, code analysis, testing, debugging, complex problem solving, and legacy application modernization.\n.\nYour role in our mission\nDesign, develop, enhance, and modernize enterprise-scale Java, JavaScript, and database-driven healthcare applications.\nDevelop and optimize complex SQL and AWS RDS solutions, including query tuning, indexing, execution-plan analysis, and application performance.\nApply GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models across coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, code reviews, documentation, and technical analysis.\nUse heavy reasoning models for complex problem solving, architecture, root-cause analysis, performance issues, and legacy-code analysis, while utilizing coding and lightweight models for routine engineering tasks.\nSupport REST APIs, healthcare integrations, and HL7 interfaces, where applicable.\nProvide technical leadership through solution design, peer reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, and engineering best practices.\nDesigns, develops, reviews, tests, documents, and implements complex Java, JavaScript, SQL, and database-driven solutions.\nPerforms code and design reviews and promotes modular, maintainable, secure, and testable software engineering practices.\nUses GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, debugging, documentation, and code analysis.\nDesigns and optimizes AWS RDS and relational database solutions, including complex SQL, indexing, query tuning, and performance analysis.\nDevelops and supports REST APIs, enterprise integrations, and healthcare/HL7 interfaces.\nProvides complex technical and production support across application, database, and integration layers.\nReviews technical specifications and recommends solutions for modernization, performance, scalability, reliability, and technical-debt reduction.\nProvides technical leadership, mentoring, and engineering guidance to development team members.\nEnsures AI-generated solutions are appropriately reviewed, tested, secured, and validated before implementation.\nWhat we're looking for\nExperience: Ten or more years of application development or software engineering experience supporting complex enterprise applications.\nApplication Development: Advanced hands-on expertise in Java and JavaScript, including REST/SOAP APIs, application design, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.\nDatabase & Cloud: Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, PostgreSQL/Oracle, AWS RDS, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.\nAI-Assisted Engineering: Experience using GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models for coding, code analysis, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and technical problem solving.\nTechnical Leadership: Strong experience with solution design, code reviews, technical specifications, complex troubleshooting, mentoring, and modernization of enterprise applications.\nWhat you should expect in this role\n Fully Remote Opportunity - Work from anywhere in the US\nOpportunity to Work on Cutting-Edge AI Solutions in a mission-driven healthcare technology environment.\nVideo cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.\nThe Deadline to submit applications for this posting is November 24, 2026\nThe pay range for this position is $90,900.00 - $129,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
