In this role you will work hands-on with System-on-Chip development, from design space exploration to implementation and validation to finished product.\nWhat you will do\nAs a Principal ASIC/System-on-Chip Engineer, you will participate in the complete development process of space microprocessor System-on-Chip designs; from architectural design, through development and verification, to implementation and prototype validation. You will lead technical aspects of projects, including design space exploration and technical coordination.\nYour tasks will include:\nDesign space exploration and architectural design of advanced microprocessors\n\nIntegration and verification of System-on-Chip designs\n\nImplementation in target technologies, including both ASIC and FPGA\n\nTechnical leadership in development projects and contribution to company workflows\n\nWho we believe you are\nYou enjoy working close to the hardware and take pride in seeing designs function on real devices. You are structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in complex development flows.\nWe believe you have:\nM.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field\n\nAt least 10 years of experience of ASIC development experience, including SoC architecture\n\nExperience of integrating IP Cores into a SoC with high-performance functions and interfaces\n\nExtensive experience in RTL design, verification, and implementation\n\nHands-on experience with synthesis (Synopsys or Cadence), DFT, and physical design\n\nStrong skills in VHDL (or similar HDL)\n\nIt is a strong advantage if you have experience in:\nHands-on experience from measurements and fault tracing on FPGA or ASIC-based designs\n\nKnowledge of microprocessor design and the RISC-V or SPARC architectures\n\nExperience from advanced ASIC nodes\n\nExperience with radiation-tolerant or fault-tolerant design\n\nWhy join Frontgrade Gaisler?\nWork with advanced FPGA and ASIC solutions used in real space missions\n\nLong-term projects with high technical complexity and quality requirements\n\nHybrid work model, up to two days per week remote.
