the Role\nWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern with strong engineering fundamentals and an interest in spacecraft design and analysis.\nThe intern will support mechanical engineering engineering calculations, and is willing to learn simulation tools and spacecraft-specific design practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport mechanical design and analysis of spacecraft structures and payloads.\nPerform basic structural calculations for: Stress\nDeflection\nLoads\nFactors of safety\n\nSupport finite-element modelling and structural simulations.\nAssist with thermal analysis of spacecraft components and assemblies.\nUnderstand and work with: Conduction\nRadiation\nThermal expansion\nTemperature gradients\n\nSupport thermo-structural and thermo-elastic analysis.\nAssist with structural dynamics activities such as: Modal analysis\nNatural frequency estimation\nVibration analysis\nLaunch load assessment\n\nWork with materials commonly used in spacecraft, including: Aluminium\nTitanium\nCFRP\nHoneycomb sandwich structures\n\nSupport evaluation of joints, interfaces, bolts, adhesives, and mounting concepts.\nPerform hand calculations to verify simulation results.\nAssist in CAD preparation and simplification for analysis.\nReview simulation results and identify whether the results are physically reasonable.\nPrepare simple engineering reports and documentation.\nRequirements\nRequired Knowledge\nGood understanding of core Mechanical Engineering subjects:\nEngineering Mechanics\nStrength of Materials\nMachine Design\nHeat Looking For\nWe are looking for someone who:\nHas strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.\nCan understand the physics behind a problem instead of only using software.\nCan perform basic hand calculations before relying on simulation.\nIs comfortable working across structures, thermal, and dynamics.\nIs willing to learn spacecraft engineering and simulation tools.\nCan work with incomplete or early-stage CAD and progressively improve the analysis.\nCan interpret results and explain what they mean from an engineering point of view.\nIs curious, practical, and willing to solve different kinds of mechanical engineering problems.\nEducational Background\nB.E. / B.Tech students or recent graduates in:\nMechanical Engineering\nAerospace Engineering\nAeronautical Engineering\nStudents
