As we move towards building a constellation of indigenous satellites, we are also developing advanced data platforms that fuse satellite data, AI analytics, and geospatial intelligence.\n\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking a QA/QC Engineer responsible\nfor the structured testing and validation of SAR and EO imagery products, AI/ML\nmodel outputs, and the associated image analysis applications.\nThis is a testing-first role with end-to-end\nownership of product QA, responsible for:\nValidation of SAR/EO imagery and AI/ML modeloutputs\n\nEnd-to-end application and workflow testing\nSmoke, functional, exploratory and regressiontesting across releases\n\nStructured defect tracking and verification\nQA automation, reporting and releasevalidation\n\nMaintaining repeatable, audit-ready QAprocesses\n\nThe role is expected to operate independently\nfrom development and processing teams, providing an objective assessment of\nproduct quality and release readiness.\nKey Responsibilities\nA. Image & Model Output Validation\nInspect SAR and EO imagery for distortions,\ninconsistencies and other quality issues.\nValidate model outputs including detections,\nclassifications, annotations and overlays against defined benchmarks.\nIdentify false positives, missed detections,\nlocalization errors and recurring model failure patterns.\nPerform regression validation when models,\nprocessing pipelines or module configurations are changed.\nProvide structured QA inputs and independent\nassessment of release readiness prior to internal release or customer delivery.\nB. End-to-End Product & Release Testing\nTest complete image analysis workflows from\ndata ingestion through processing, analysis and visualization.\nValidate application functionality, UI\nworkflows, overlays, annotations, layers and analysis outputs.\nPerform functional, smoke, exploratory and\nregression testing across standalone and server-based product versions.\nMaintain reusable smoke and regression test\nsuites to support frequent product releases.\nVerify fixes and ensure changes do not\nintroduce regressions elsewhere in the system.\nC. Test Planning and Automation\nDevelop and continuously improve structured\ntest cases, regression suites, checklists and QA workflows covering imagery,\nmodel outputs and application functionality.\nIdentify gaps in test coverage, tooling and\nprocesses and implement improvements to increase QA efficiency and coverage.\nIdentify repetitive QA activities suitable for\nautomation and build Python-based scripts and utilities where feasible.\nMaintain reusable test templates and\nframeworks to support rapid release cycles.\nD. Defect and Issue Management\nIdentify, document and classify defects with\nclear reproduction steps, evidence, severity and priority.\nTrack defects through resolution, retesting\nand closure.\nMaintain structured visibility of issues by\nproduct version, module, defect type, status and customer/deployment location.\nTrack recurring, unresolved and deferred\nissues across releases and highlight systemic quality concerns.\nE. QA Reporting & Documentation\nMaintain structured reports for feature,\nsmoke, regression and release testing.\nMaintain test cases, execution records,\nchecklists, defect logs and supporting evidence.\nEstablish reusable reporting templates to\nsupport rapid release cycles and consistent QA practices.\nGenerate summaries of open issues, recurring\ndefects, regression status and release readiness.\nEnsure QA results are reproducible, traceable\nand audit-ready, including support for customer-facing quality documentation.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Remote Sensing,\nGeoinformatics, GIS, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a\nrelated field.\n2-3 years of experience in QA/testing roles,\npreferably involving image, data-heavy or software products.\nExperience with manual, functional, regression\nand end-to-end testing.\nExperience or familiarity with SAR and/or\nElectro-Optical imagery analysis.\nFamiliarity with image analysis/GIS tools such\nas QGIS, SNAP, ENVI or equivalent.\nBasic Python scripting skills for test\nautomation and data validation.\nStrong documentation, reporting and\ndefect-tracking skills.\nStrong analytical thinking, attention to\ndetail and systematic problem-solving ability.\n\nPreferred:\nExperience testing AI/ML-based image analysis\nor computer vision outputs.\nExposure to model accuracy validation,\nbenchmarking or dataset QA.\nExperience building automated QA or regression\ntesting utilities.\nFamiliarity with version-controlled release\ntesting.\nExperience testing standalone and server-based\napplications.\nExperience supporting customer deployments,\nUAT, acceptance testing or audit processes.\nExperience in startup or fast-iteration\nproduct
