AtGalaxEye, we are working to build the best remote sensing satellites and also, we are researching various aspects of remote sensing.\nThe SAR team at GalaxEye is responsible for designing and building the complete SAR payload for our satellite constellation, encompassing RF systems, antenna subsystems, and embedded electronics. The team works in a highly interdisciplinary environment where RF, hardware, and embedded software come together to deliver mission-critical payload performance. We foster a culture of strong ownership, where engineers are expected to drive solutions independently, proactively ask questions, and bring well-reasoned technical justifications to the table while collaborating closely to solve complex engineering challenges.\nResponsibilities \nUnderstand system and functional requirements, and translate them into detailed software requirements.\n\nOwn firmware for bring-up → production on MCU/SoC in bare-metal and/or RTOS\n\nDesign and implement algorithms with acute optimisation for CPU cycles and memory utilisation while meeting rigid real-time deadlines.\n\nDevelop software/firmware from scratch, ensuring highly modular, maintainable, and scalable architectures.\n\nBuild validation frameworks for verifying implemented algorithms.\n\nCreate Software Detailed Design documentation.\n\nPerform Static Analysis, Unit Testing, and Integration Testing.\n\nTake complete ownership of assigned tasks from concept to deployment.\n\nEvaluate third-party software, debug field issues, and conduct peer reviews.\n\nCollaborate with the hardware team for board bring-up, understanding schematics and hardware interfaces.\n\nWork with RTOS-based and multi-threaded systems.\n\nImplement low-level drivers for microcontrollers and SoCs (ADC, PWM, GPIO, Timers, RTC, Flash, EEPROM, etc.).\n\nDebug and bring up embedded systems using tools such as UARTs, JTAG, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analysers.\n\nIntegrate with FPGAs and work on systems involving AMD Zynq Ultra-Scale SoCs.\n\nWork with Yocto/PetaLinux build flows and Linux kernel compilation from scratch.\n\nDevelop using build systems such as CMake, and ensure smooth build and integration workflows.\n\nProduce production-quality artifacts: unit tests, integration tests, CI builds, release builds, traceability of changes.\n\nWork on low-level driver design for high-speed HW/SW interfaces.\n\nApply robustness: watchdog, brownout handling, safe states, fault logging, recovery strategies.\n\nApply strong debugging, analytical, verification, and validation skills for embedded systems.\n\nRequirements\nB.Tech, BS, MS, or PhD in EE/CE/CS, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.\n5-8 years of professional experience in developing mission-critical embedded firmware and software peripherals.\nStrong understanding of embedded system constraints versus software platform design trade-offs.\nDeep understanding of:\nMCU architecture (ARM Cortex-M/A/R or RISC-V, etc.)\n\nInterrupts, exceptions, vector tables\n\nMemory (stack/heap, static allocation, alignment, DMA coherency/caches if relevant)\n\nVolatile / atomic operations, concurrency hazards, re-entrancy\n\nExperience with RTOS internals/usage (FreeRTOS/Zephyr/ThreadX/VxWorks/QNX).\n\nProficiency in C and C++, compilers, and build & source control tools.\n\nSolid understanding of computer architecture, particularly HW/SW interfaces for high-speed communication.\n\nExperience with Linux kernel and UNIX APIs.\n\nWorking knowledge of emulation systems, build automation, and virtual platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with parallel or SIMD programming.\n\nExperience in debugging complex embedded systems and working in lab environments.\n\nGood to Have\n\nKnowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.\n\nExperience with UML design.\n\nScripting experience in Python or Perl.\n\nBackground in mechatronic, robotics, or avionics systems.\n\nExperience in low-level driver design for SoCs.\n\nPersonality Traits\n\nExcellent creative thinking and
