You will own the structural design and analysis of satellite bus structures and mechanical assemblies, ensuring structural integrity, mass efficiency, manufacturability, and mission reliability. The role involves working across the full development lifecycle from concept design and structural analysis through manufacturing support, integration, and qualification testing.\nResponsibilities:\nOwn structural design and analysis of satellite bus systems including primary and secondary structures.\n\nSupport the structure lifecycle from concept trade studies and preliminary sizing to detailed design, manufacturing support, integration, and qualification.\n\nPerform structural simulations including:\n\nStatic and quasi-static load analysis\n\nModal and frequency response analysis\n\nRandom vibration analysis\n\nShock analysis\n\nBuckling and stability analysis\n\nFatigue and margin of safety calculations\n\nConduct FEA simulations using Simcenter 3D (NX Nastran) to evaluate launch and operational load conditions.\n\nSupport structural sizing and weight optimization of spacecraft structures and payload enclosures.\n\nDrive structural inputs for system architecture trades including stiffness, mass, load paths, mounting strategies, and packaging.\n\nPerform material and process selection based on stiffness-to-weight, strength, fatigue, thermal stability, and environmental durability.\n\nApply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are manufacturability and assembly-friendly.\n\nDevelop CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and assembly documentation.\n\nConduct tolerance stack-up analysis and fitment validation for subsystem integration.\n\nWork closely with manufacturing teams for fabrication, surface treatments, and build planning.\n\nCorrelate analysis models with structural test data and update FEA models accordingly.\n\nCollaborate with thermal, electrical, RF, AIT, and systems teams to ensure integrated spacecraft performance.\n\nRequirements\nMust-have Qualifications :\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.\n\n3-6 years of experience in structural design or analysis for aerospace or high-reliability systems.\n\nStrong proficiency in:\n\nSolidWorks for CAD modeling and detailed drafting.\n\nSimcenter 3D (NX Nastran) for structural simulations and analysis.\n\nStrong understanding of:\n\nMechanics of materials\n\nStructural dynamics and vibration environments\n\nLaunch load conditions\n\nFatigue and margin of safety calculations\n\nExperience with finite element modeling and structural sizing.\n\nFamiliarity with materials and manufacturing processes for lightweight aerospace structures (machining, bonding, composites, inserts, surface treatments).\n\nExperience working closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to take designs to hardware.\n\nFamiliarity with drawing standards, GD&T, and production-ready documentation.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood-to-have :\nExperience with satellite structural architecture or spacecraft subsystems.\n\nFamiliarity with thermal-structural coupling analysis.\n\nExperience performing tolerance stack-up analysis.\n\nExposure to space qualification environments and structural testing.\n\nExperience working in private
