In this role, you will serve as a key technical expert supporting assembly and packaging operations, driving process performance, product quality, and continuous improvement through scientific expertise and data-driven decision-making.\nThe Role\nAs a Senior Manufacturing Scientist, you will provide technical oversight and process support for commercial manufacturing activities while partnering closely with production, quality, engineering, validation, and supply chain teams. You will play a central role in investigations, process optimization initiatives, and the application of analytical tools to improve operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide scientific and technical support for assembly and packaging processes.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process robustness, efficiency, and product quality.\nLead and support complex investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.\nAnalyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.\nApply statistical and analytical methodologies to support process understanding and optimization.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical challenges and ensure reliable manufacturing operations.\nSupport regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance activities.\nEnsure manufacturing processes operate in accordance with GMP requirements and applicable regulatory expectations.\nContribute technical expertise to validation, risk assessments, and change management activities.\nWho You Are\nYou combine strong scientific knowledge with a practical manufacturing mindset. You enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with data, and influencing stakeholders across functions to deliver sustainable improvements.\nQualifications\nBachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or another relevant scientific or engineering discipline.\nApproximately 6-10 years of experience within biopharmaceutical, medical device, or manufacturing environments.\nStrong experience in investigations, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.\nExcellent analytical skills, including data collection, interpretation, and reporting.\nKnowledge of cGMP requirements and regulatory frameworks.\nExperience supporting inspections and regulatory audits.\nStrong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nTechnical Expertise\nAssembly and packaging processes and manufacturing equipment.\nData analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, Python, R, Power BI, or Spotfire.\nManufacturing systems including MES, LIMS, ERP, and SCADA.\nStatistical and quality methodologies such as SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma.\nGMP regulations and guidelines, including FDA, EMA, ICH, and Annex 1 requirements.\nValidation principles, risk assessment, and quality-by-design approaches.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\nExperience with digital validation systems and advanced analytics platforms.\nExperience working in multi-site manufacturing organizations or CMO environments.\nWhy Join Galderma?\nThis is an opportunity to take on a highly visible role where science, manufacturing, and innovation come together.
