This one gives you the opportunity to help shape one.\neShepherd is expanding in the United States, and we're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can combine commercial drive with genuine credibility in agriculture.\nYou'll work directly with ranchers, producers, partners and industry stakeholders, identifying opportunities, building relationships and turning customer challenges into commercial growth.\nThis is a senior, hands-on role. You'll own opportunities from prospecting and first conversation through solution positioning, negotiation and close, while playing an important part in how eShepherd grows across the US. is built for livestock producers, backed by Gallagher, and gives ranchers ownership of the hardware rather than locking them into ongoing subscriptions.\nWhat you'll be doing\nYou'll own and grow a quality pipeline across your market, with responsibility for:\nIdentifying and strategically targeting new business opportunities.\n\nTaking ownership of the sales journey from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation and close.\n\nBuilding trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners, distributors and industry stakeholders.\n\nUnderstanding how individual ranching operations work and positioning eShepherd around their commercial and operational needs.\n\nDeveloping opportunities through networking, prospecting, industry engagement and strong follow-up.\n\nLeading or supporting key account opportunities, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements.\n\nMaintaining strong CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting.\n\nWorking closely with Customer Success to support a seamless transition from sale to onboarding and ongoing customer success.\n\nBringing market intelligence, customer feedback, pricing insights and competitor activity back into Sales, Product and Marketing.\n\nHelping build the eShepherd and Gallagher brands through industry relationships, partnerships and speaking opportunities.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nWe're looking for someone who knows how to create opportunities, not simply manage them.\nYou'll ideally bring:\nProven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment.\n\nA demonstrated ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.\n\nExperience working with ranchers and/or personal experience within agriculture.\n\nKnowledge of AgTech solutions.\n\nAn interest in or understanding of beef cattle and grazing management.\n\nStrong commercial judgement, communication and negotiation skills.\n\nThe ability to work autonomously and maintain momentum across multiple opportunities.\n\nExperience within a high-growth or scale-up environment.\n\nThe ability to think strategically and then turn that thinking into action.\n\nWhat
