If you’re driven by passion and purpose to protect what matters most, come help shape the future of what’s possible with us.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Electronics Engineer within Gallagher Security, you'll take ownership of electronic hardware design across new and existing products, ensuring solutions are innovative, reliable and commercially successful.\nWorking closely with software engineers, product managers, manufacturing teams, and other technical specialists, you'll help bring new security technologies from concept through to production. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the hardware behind Gallagher Security's access control, perimeter, and high-security solutions used by organisations around the globe.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDesigning robust electronic circuits and hardware solutions for new and existing products\n\nDeveloping prototypes, conducting testing and driving root cause analysis\n\nEnsuring designs meet electrical safety, EMC and manufacturing requirements\n\nLeading technical discussions, design reviews and engineering decisions\n\nMentoring and supporting the development of other engineers\n\nCollaborating with manufacturing teams to successfully introduce new products into production\n\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives, emerging technologies and engineering best practices\n\nAbout You\nYou'll be highly capable electronics engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and influencing product outcomes. You combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative approach and are comfortable providing leadership within multidisciplinary teams.\nWe're looking for someone who has:\nA Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar)\n\nAt least five years' experience in electronics hardware design\n\nExperience working in product development and manufacturing environments\n\nStrong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities\n\nKnowledge of EMC and electrical safety compliance requirements\n\nExperience using PCB CAD design tools\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills\n\nA continuous improvement mindset and passion for innovation\n\nIt would also be advantageous if you've previously mentored engineers or led technical workstreams within development projects.\nWhy Gallagher?\nGallagher is one of New Zealand's most respected technology companies, with a global reputation for innovation.
