You'll develop and enhance software solutions that help resolve complex customer challenges, improve system performance, and support the ongoing success of Gallagher's security platforms. You'll work closely with technical support, product, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for customers around the world.\nAs part of #TeamGallagher you will:\nEnjoy developing software that helps protect some of the world's most secure environments\n\nEnjoy solving technical challenges as part of a collaborative agile team\n\nEnjoy a culture focused on quality, learning, and continuous improvement\n\nEnjoy working alongside talented engineers on globally recognised products\n\nEnjoy opportunities to develop your technical skills and grow your career\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain software components and features\n\nBreak down, estimate, and deliver development tasks within an agile environment\n\nSupport existing products through troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution\n\nContribute to technical design discussions and recommend solutions to complex challenges\n\nEnsure software quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices\n\nAnalyse system performance and identify opportunities for improvement\n\nCollaborate effectively with engineers, testers, and product stakeholders\n\nContinuously develop your technical knowledge and contribute to team improvement initiatives\n\nYou'll Bring\nThis role is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on development, takes pride in writing quality code, and thrives in a collaborative environment where continuous learning and improvement are encouraged.\nA relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience\n\nAt least 3 years' commercial software development experience\n\nStrong C# and/or C++ development skills\n\nExperience working with SQL databases\n\nExperience using source control and modern development tools\n\nKnowledge of testing practices including automated and unit testing\n\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills\n\nExperience working collaboratively within a software development team\n\nA proactive approach to learning, improvement, and delivering quality outcomes\n\nWorking at Gallagher\nYou'll be part of a global, future-focused organisation where engineering talent is valued and supported.
