If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nJob Title - Bid Manager\nLocation - Leicester\nWhat you will be doing:\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager to join the team at Galliford Try\nWhat you will be doing:\nLeading and managing strategically important/business critical individual project and framework bids.\nTaking ownership and accountability for the performance and deliverables of specific opportunity Bid Teams and act as Main “Point of Contact” with Client/Design Teams.\nSetting, managing, and leading bid strategy/win themes; bid programme development; allocation of deliverables; tender settlement process and client engagement sessions.\nAnalyse PQQ and Tender documents and resource and manage a suitable bid team to deliver the bids.\nArrange and lead tender review meetings and report to the business Unit Directors on progress.\nDeveloping risk identification, mitigation, and alternative proposals.\nInputting into planning, programming, and the development of construction methodologies.\nDelivering high quality bids that clearly articulate our offer in response to client specific requirements/needs.\nAssisting the Pre-construction Director with bid evaluation, governance, and the allocation of appropriate level of team resources to bids.\nEnsure continuing feedback on contractual/commercial developments, outlining positive and negative issues identified during delivery, with a key focus upon risk management.\nCompetency Requirements\nIndustry specific knowledge of Bid Managing within the Construction market.\nProven track record in the sector or similar role, preferably with a main contractor.\nExcellent written English and communication skills.\nFlexibility to meet time pressures to deliver high quality submissions on time.\nExcellent organisational skills.\nAdaptability and drive to progress the role into other areas including Business Development as and when necessary.\nA naturally inquisitive nature to challenge ideas and provide innovative solutions.\nDisplay a creative flair in their writing and ensuring high standards of accuracy and document control. \nCollaborative attitude An understanding of the importance of work winning strategies/themes/differentiators and their application into submissions\nTechnical/Professional Qualifications:\nDegree qualified - preferably in a subject with a high focus on creating high-quality written work.\nHave previous experience in either a consultancy or construction business.\nWillingness and ability to travel throughout the UK.\nAdaptable and able to deal with changing project requirements.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other desktop publishing software packages.\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
