Communicate and implement effectively.\nEnsure design strategy is in place, risk analysed & summarised.\nReview and direct prime cost evaluation (prime cost guardian).\nCreate/review technical submission.\nAdherence to tender process.\nReceive, analyse and disseminate tender documents, produce and monitor answer plan\nContribute to writing quality responses, reviewing and editing quality responses\nhandling clarifications & amendments including disseminating to bid team.\nPreparation of bid programmes & internal bid number & monitoring of progress against the programme.\nEnsure all bids are subject to correct adjudication and governance procedures e.g. bid: no bid criteria, sign offs and approvals.\nStandardise quality bid submissions and share best practice across Galliford Try.\nHelp develop, lead, manage & maintain a procurement strategy to meet desired outcomes.\nIncorporate Delivering Excellence culture change programme through the Bid process.\nTake ownership to manage & advise on bidding to achieve defined success criteria that provide a secured forward order book to meet Business Unit Objectives, including PQQ & tender success rates.\nEnsure the preconstruction team adheres to defined governance, correct adjudication & bid management processes & adequately hands over successful bids to delivery teams.\nDesign & implementation of continuous improvement strategies to improve quality & success rate of bidding.\nDevelop and foster collaborative working relationships with the Client, Client’s Representatives, Supply Chain and consultants. \nSupport Business Development with early engagement activities\n\nCompetency Requirements\nExcellent computer skills\nPeople management, leadership and strong negotiation experience.\nGreat attention to detail\nAbility to demonstrate a confidence to communicate ideas\nA drive for continuous improvement\nDriven to achieve customer satisfaction.\nStrategic thinker\nTechnical/Professional Qualifications:\nWide industry experience with a defined network/profile including defined preconstruction and/or bid experience & exposure to multi procurement & contract types.\nExperienced in ICE, NEC & JCT forms of contract.\nExperienced in planning as part of the tender process.\nSuitable industry-based qualification i.e. ICE/RICS/CIOB.\nComputer literacy\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
