If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nJob Title - Bid Writer\nLocation - East Midlands\nWhat you will be doing:\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Bid Writer to join the team at Galliford Try.\nIdeally, you will based in or around the East Midlands or Cambridge, we have offices in both Leicester and Cambridge.\nOur Bid Writer will be tasked with the creation of effective yet imaginative responses to tender questionnaires; working with other stakeholders from around the business to acquire pertinent information and data. The Bid Writer will promote the Galliford Try business, through high-quality written submissions.\nIdeally, you will be based in or around the East Midlands or Cambridge area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/offices in the Region.\nWhat you will be doing:\nWrite high-quality winning proposal documents, to include producing, coordinating and editing written content\nManage the submissions process where required\nContribute to the bid team at key stages of individual tender projects, gathering technical information from internal departments to compile and ensure a high-quality bespoke solution is offered to the client\nActively participate in story boarding and development of strategic themes\nEnsure all proposals are prepared in line with tender programme requirements\nEnsure submissions are produced are to the highest quality and aligned with company bid management standards\nBe responsible for proofreading material and providing technical and commercial writing skills\nAssist with development of bespoke proposals, best practice information, technique guides, template answers and style sheets\nBuild and develop relationships with key business sector teams\nProduce high-quality documents and submissions in line with identified deadlines\nAnalysis and review of previous submissions and document learning for implementation in future bids\nProduce promotional/marketing materials and award submissions\nManage the submission content as part of the wider bid process\nAssemble and shape construction information into compelling submissions\nWrite and edit capability statements and expression of interest documents\nLiaise with the wider Pre-construction team for technical content\nCreate and edit presentations\nCapture and collate evidence to support submissions\nAbout You:\nIndustry specific knowledge of Bid Writing within the Construction market\nAbility to work as part of a team and own initiative\nProven track record in the sector or similar role\nExcellent written English and communication skills\nFlexibility to meet time pressures to deliver high quality submissions on time\nExceptional writing, editing and copy-writing skills\nAdaptability and drive to progress the role into other areas including Business Development as and when necessary.\n\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.3 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
