We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to play a key role in sourcing, securing, and delivering high-quality affordable housing developments across the UK.\nWorking closely with the Director of Developments and sector leads, you will help identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and manage projects from inception to completion.\nWhat you will be doing:\nIdentify new sites and opportunities, assess viability, and develop proposals for projects \nWork with internal teams to secure partnerships with Registered Providers and for-profit clients \nLead and coordinate bid processes, ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities \nAppoint and manage partners, advisors, and design teams \nDevelop and manage project programmes to ensure delivery remains on track \nTake responsibility for the preparation and submission of final bid proposals \nLead presentations to landowners, clients, funders, and stakeholders \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with partners, landowners, agents, and local authorities \nOversee financial appraisals and ensure full cost and risk consideration \nLead the preparation and submission of planning applications and manage the planning process \nIdentify and manage risks, working with commercial teams to achieve viable solutions \nMonitor contractor and partner performance to ensure successful project delivery \nManage internal approvals, budgets, and expenditure \nLead negotiations from preferred bidder stage through to financial close\nAbout you:\nProven track record delivering affordable housing developments from inception to completion \nExperience in site finding and acquisition \nExperience working on land-led partnership transactions with Registered Providers and for-profit organisations\nStrong communication, presentation, and influencing skills \nCommercial awareness with the ability to assess costs and risks \nAbility to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders \nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
