If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nDocument Controller - Environment Division\nLocation - Dorchester\nGalliford Try are looking to hire an experienced Document Controller to support on Wessex Water projects across Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Bristol. This role provides consistent support to project teams by ensuring that design and contemporary information / documentation are captured within our systems for ease of retrieval by site teams.\nWhat you will be doing:\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnsure system aligns with our BMS.\nDrive Information Management (IM) Compliance within your project(s)\nEngage / Liaise with H&S / Quality Teams regularly, i.e. Monthly.\nAttend design team meetings to ensure compliance within the systems are met.\nEnsure company and project information management protocols/procedures are followed, including the IMP and BEP.\nCreate and ensure all registers are up to date and completed correctly prior to internal and external auditing\nEnsure that change control of revision status is recorded, easily traceable and identified within the company systems. \nEnsure that latest revision of live design documentation is available and distributed to relevant discipline role within the systems.\nEnsure all design information is controlled and maintained in a methodical manner and issued within set timescales.\nIssue reports to internal / external parties when required. \nEnsure consultants and sub-contractors are invited into our system(s) and attend a training day.\nDaily Report issued on New / Revised information to site team.\nMonthly system reports on Security Group, System usage etc.\nContribute to Continuous improvement of the system(s).\nAttend a site awareness training day.\nAny other reasonable tasks as directed by your Line Manager.\nAdministration:\nCapture data from other systems used on the project to our company system(s) i.e. Contract management tool.\nConfirm / Support the Project Team with the workflow process, RDD, RFI and Change Control within our system(s)\nCarry out QA check within agreed Workflows.\nSupport the Commercial and Design Managers with linking information to virtual containers within our system(s).\nInvite and revoke internal and external users to and from our system(s) when required.\nSetup document containers for external parties within our system(s) when required.\nManage distribution groups.\nAdd and configure containers within our system template where applicable.\nCreate matrix / notification transmittals when required.\nGenerate reports when required.\nAudit regularly to ensure compliance with the company BMS.\nEnsure design documentation is uploaded and named consistently within our system(s)\nSystem champion for project team(s), supporting users when required.\nPrint / organise print service for drawings when required\nLiaise with Design and Site teams regarding Handover information / documentation\nHighlighted documentation. i.e. Stamped ‘Scanned to System’ when superseded or revised.\nReport to Project Management Team on progress monthly.\nAbout You\nMain Contractor experience is desired.\nSome knowledge and understanding of the Document Control process at operational level.\nSome knowledge and experience of using Viewpoint for Projects and Field View at operational level is desired.\nIT literate and a good understanding of Microsoft and Viewpoint applications\nAbility to prioritise workload when managing multiple contracts / tasks\nAbility to work accurately under pressure to meet project targets\nGreat attention to detail\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
