If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nElectrical Supervisor\nLondon\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Thames, part of Galliford Try.\nIn this role, you will oversee and coordinate all on-site electrical activities, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards. You will help ensure a safe working environment for everyone on site and contribute to excellent customer satisfaction.\nWhat you will be doing:\nSupporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.\nEnsuring compliance with Galliford Try’s Electrical Safety Rules and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.\nChecking that all relevant documents accurately describe the work to be undertaken and ensuring HS&E documentation is up to date and correctly recorded.\nReviewing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.\nSupervising work to ensure it aligns with approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments.\nRecording work progress on drawings or other suitable media as required.\nInspecting and recording incoming materials and associated documentation.\nTracking material locations where traceability is required.\nEnsuring site testing is conducted in accordance with IEE 18th Edition requirements.\nRecording non-conformances and improvement opportunities, agreeing follow-up actions with the responsible person.\nPromoting a strong health and safety culture and recognising that safety is central to every task.\nAssisting with planning and change control, maintaining clear and accurate records.\nCoordinating with customers and non-electrical trades.\nRepresenting and promoting Galliford Try positively.\nManaging the receipt, issue, and distribution of drawings on site.\nMaintaining accurate records of variations.\nSupporting quarterly reviews and assisting with resource forecasting.\nManaging site drawing control and reporting.\nPreparing and reviewing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.\nSupporting construction completion processes and Take Over Certificates.\nApplying and promoting Galliford Try’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies and targets.\nFollowing all processes outlined in the Galliford Try BMS and suggesting improvements when identified.\nEnsuring the 4 Projects system is used for document management.\nAbout You:\nWe’re looking for someone who can bring experience, commitment, and a proactive approach to safety and quality.\nEssential:\nProven experience in the water/wastewater industry\n\nCity & Guilds Electrical Installation qualification.\n\n18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification.\n\nFirst Aid qualification.\n\nSSSTS/SMSTS certification.\n\nCSCS/ECS card.\n\nPreferable:\nHND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.\n\nCity & Guilds APLV Certificate.\n\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £3.8 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
