If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nManaging Quantity Surveyor\nLocation: Iver, Buckinghamshire\nWe’re looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead and support a high-performing commercial team across two clean water Rapid Gravity Filter schemes in the Windsor area, with a combined value of approximately £55m.\nIn this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping commercial strategy, driving performance, and ensuring strong governance across projects delivered under NEC4 Option C contracts. You’ll collaborate closely with project and commercial teams to manage costs, risks, and opportunities, while fostering a positive, inclusive team environment where people can develop and thrive.\nAbout the Role\nYou’ll take responsibility for the commercial management and successful delivery of:\nIver WTW Rapid Gravity Filter Enhancement Scheme (~£40m)\nEgham WTW Rapid Gravity Filter Enhancement Scheme (~£15m)\nThese projects involve the construction of new Rapid Gravity Treatment Plants alongside upgrades to existing water treatment facilities. They form part of a long-term Affinity Water framework with a planned completion in December 2027.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nPromoting and supporting a safe, inclusive working environment\nLeading the development and implementation of commercial strategies from project inception through to completion\nSupporting and developing team members, encouraging continuous learning and wellbeing\nEnsuring robust cost control, forecasting, and reporting (including CVRs and commercial reports)\nManaging subcontract procurement, including preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts\nOverseeing subcontract performance, valuations, and change management processes\nEnsuring timely production and submission of contractual notices and compensation events\nLeading the preparation and agreement of monthly applications for payment\nIdentifying, managing, and mitigating risks and opportunities to improve project outcomes\nWorking collaboratively with operational, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure effective project controls\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams\nSupporting achievement of business performance targets (including cash flow, profitability, and delivery goals) \nAbout you:\nA relevant degree and/or equivalent professional experience\nProfessional membership (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB), or working towards it (desirable)\nExperience in civil engineering projects, ideally within the water sector\nExperience working on large or complex infrastructure schemes\nA good understanding of NEC4 contracts\nStrong commercial awareness, including cost management and reporting\nConfidence using IT systems (e.g. Excel, Word, and contract/cost systems such as CEMAR, Asite, or Orbit)\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills\nThe ability to organise work effectively and meet deadlines\nA collaborative approach, with a focus on team success and shared outcomes\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
