In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed pipework and fabrication designs from concept through to manufacture, including the production of 3D models, fabrication drawings, isometrics, and material schedules.\nWorking closely with Project Managers, Contracts Engineers, clients, and fabrication teams, you will help deliver practical, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions that support successful project delivery.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nCollaborate with Project Managers, Contracts Engineers, and fabrication teams to develop designs that are practical, buildable, and support efficient manufacture and installation.\nProvide design input throughout the project lifecycle, including concept development, optioneering, detailed design, and construction support, working within Common Data Environments (CDEs).\nProduce and develop 3D pipework models, fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings, isometric drawings, and material schedules.\nUndertake pipework routing, equipment layout, and design coordination activities to meet project and operational requirements.\nCarry out site surveys, field measurements, and scope development activities to support accurate and effective design solutions.\nAttend client and site meetings, building positive working relationships and providing technical support throughout project delivery.\nUse industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, Trimble, and other appropriate modelling packages, to develop detailed engineering designs.\nReview designs against client specifications, project requirements, relevant standards, and industry best practice.\nSupport digital innovation and continuous improvement initiatives through the adoption of new technologies, software, and design processes.\nProduce accurate and organised design documentation for client approval, procurement, fabrication, and installation activities.\nMaintain project documentation and document control processes in accordance with company procedures.\nWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical queries and design coordination issues.\nProvide technical support and clarification to workshop, site, and installation teams as required.\nEnsure all design activities are carried out in accordance with engineering best practice, company procedures, and quality standards.\nContribute to value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project efficiency, cost performance, and delivery outcomes.\nAbout you:\nWe welcome applications from individuals with experience in engineering design, pipework, fabrication, or related disciplines.
