If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nProject Manager\nGuildford\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try.\nIdeally, you will based in or around the Guildford area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.\nWhat you will be doing:\nAs a Project Manager you will successfully deliver projects on time, within budget and to client specification.\nYou will:\nCreate a ‘Knowingly Safe’ working environment.\nEnsure that the principles of CDM are applied and relevant legislation is complied with.\nEmbed a F.R.E.D.I.E Culture. (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement)\nEngage with the designer to ensure a safe, buildable and timely design is achieved within the detailed design phase to allow efficient delivery of the scheme.\nPlan, prepare and facilitate collaborative workshops as and when required.\nInterview select and onboard staff in line with the resource profile for the Scheme.\nWith the support of the Commercial Team ensure the selection of the best Supply Chain partners.\nEnsure all pre-commencement and regulatory requirements are discharged prior to work commencing.\nPlan and prepare for delivery of the Scheme throughout the project lifecycle.\nAppoint a Temporary Works Coordinator and ensure all Temporary Works requirements are understood and designed in a timely manner.\nPlan, prepare and oversee the establishment of the site offices and compound.\nChampion the use of innovative technologies and techniques.\nTake ownership of risk & opportunities in conjunction with the Risk Manager.\nLead the Commercial Team to manage costs, and maximise cash flow and profitability, capturing any changes in scope. \nEnsure any incidents/accidents are thoroughly investigated, closed out and learnings implemented.\nTake ownership for the delivery and quality of work to the required standards.\nManage the Construction Teams and Supply Chain partners to ensure delivery of the Scheme in line with the agreed Budget, Programme and Scope.\nEnsure adequate resource to fulfil the programme including the demobilisation and redeployment of the team at the end of the project. \nEngage with the Performance Team to ensure all CPF/BSC scoring is completed and evidenced.\nEnsure all internal and external reporting is completed as required.\nManage, monitor and review direct reports and team performances, providing encouragement and discipline as and when required.\nAbout You:\nCompetency Requirements\nPromote a positive safety, quality and FREDIE culture\nProven experience in successfully managing multiple teams contributing to their professional development.\nFirst class project management capabilities able to showcase a track record of delivering to client’s expectations. \nExperience in developing a performance culture.\nAdvanced communication skills adept at interfacing with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.\nStrong knowledge of CDM\nCommercially astute.\nProven leadership and delegation skills.\nAware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.\nAble to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration. \nKnowledge of working in a secure environment (preferred but not essential)\nTechnical/Professional Qualifications Required\nRelevant CSCS card.\nUse of Office 365.\nWorking knowledge of planning tools\nAbility to pass Security Clearance (EL1).\nAbility to pass an Enhanced DBS check.\nSMST\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £3.2 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
