A local office is available in Rickmansworth.\nWe are looking for a Project Manager to join our Environment Business Division, delivering water treatment infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for the Affinity Water Framework. You will lead end-to-end project delivery across a varied portfolio of clean water treatment schemes, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nProject Delivery & Leadership\nLead the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring performance against programme, budget, health and safety, environment, and quality targets.\nProvide clear leadership to project teams, supporting development, engagement, and performance of colleagues at all levels.\nBuild effective working relationships with client representatives and stakeholders.\nManage day-to-day project operations and ensure alignment with contractual obligations, including NEC contract conditions.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety, CDM, Environmental legislation, and company standards.\nReview and assess in-house and subcontractor RAMS, Process Impact Assessments, and environmental requirements.\nMaintain accurate and complete project documentation, including “as-built” records and O&M information.\nCommercial & Financial Management\nTake responsibility for project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and profit/loss.\nPrepare and review quotations, estimates, price variations, and final accounts.\nSupport commercial reporting and participate in monthly programme and financial reviews.\nPlanning, Coordination & Delivery\nDevelop and maintain detailed project programmes in collaboration with planning and design teams.\nCoordinate resources across departments to ensure project requirements and client expectations are met.\nManage procurement of materials, plant, and specialist subcontractors.\nOversee testing, commissioning, training, and project close-out activities.\nAttend site visits, stakeholder meetings, and progress reviews as required. \nAbout you:\nONC/HNC/BEng or equivalent industry qualification (or relevant vocational experience).\nHealth & Safety qualifications (IOSH, SMSTS, CITB 5-day, or equivalent).\nValid CSCS card.\nExperience working within the water and/or wastewater industries.\nStrong understanding of NEC contracts (desirable).\nCompetent in Microsoft Office applications.\nCollaborative team member with the ability to work independently when needed.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.\nEffective communication skills across email, phone, and face-to-face settings.\nComfortable making informed decisions to maintain project progress.\nPositive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to supporting colleagues and delivering high-quality outcomes. \nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £3.8 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
